“You should get more guards. And make sure you can trust them. Get at least two personal guards,” Blaine said, glancing at Andion. If the prince would allow it, they would be his best shot.

Blaine ignored the harsh tones in the prince’s voice. She tilted her head toward Andion, her hands on her hips. “Take it up with him,” she said simply, shrugging as if it were no big deal to her.

“We do,” Blaine answered, giving nothing else away that they knew. Unless Andion said otherwise, it was on a need-to-know basis.

“If you say so,” Kasey chuckled, leaning into him. “Anyway... What do we do from here?”

Blaine nodded, facing the prince again. “They got to us just in time to tell us before they were caught. We barely got away ourselves.” That was certainly true... They’d barely gotten out, after all.
