Hi all!
I wanted to celebrate the release of our new image model a bit and make sure everyone can equally enjoy it while worldbuilding, so I'm happy to say that Basil will be entirely free and unlimited during the full month of June.
There's a longer announcement about it over on our blog (with examples), but the TL;DR is:
- Image generation is normally a Premium feature, but it'll instead be free for the entire month
- This covers all of Basil's existing supported page types (characters, locations, items, creatures, floras, foods, planets, landmarks, and towns) and also support for 5 new page types launching today (buildings, deities, vehicles, technologies, and traditions).
- I've also added more styles to visualize in to many of the existing page types
- Our new model should be a better quality than our previous one and handle a wider variety of theoreticals, which should be perfect for early visualization of your ideas while you work
- No Notebook.ai data (text or images) were used in the training of this model
- You can leave ratings on your generated images, which helps me understand which pages (and individual styles) are working well vs need improvements, and also make sure there are no underserved groups of e.g. characters (for example, I'm aware that tattoos aren't working great on visualized characters right now – working on that!)
But yeah, hope y'all enjoy it! You can start visualizing your pages from the Image Generation tool linked on your pages' edit forms or jump over to the Basil page directly.
