Lots of great suggestions lately (that I plan on getting more into in the future) but just wanted to pop in on the most recent 2 comments:

Can there be a way for us to add our own links to pages? I know we can link other pages by pressing @, but it doesn’t show up in the associations like the links do

There's some technical reasons that make it really card to add additional links like that, but right now I'm planning on adding @mentions to the associations tab just like a link would. I actually also get a lot of feedback asking to be able to add text to link fields. Adding custom link-only fields isn't out of the question, but right now I'm trying to just bridge the gap between text fields and link fields so they can each do what the other can do. Hoping to do both eventually, though.

maybe creating temporary save files, that later we can confirm as definitive (maybe having a button to save definitive and the autosave that we still have doing temporary changes?)

This is something I've been thinking through the best way to do a lot lately, and I think I'll end up doing something very similar to this. Most likely, I'll add a button that lets you create a "restoration point" for a document that you can always revert back to, but the document will continue to autosave from that point on like normal. I'm looking through other suggestions on the topic to see if I can build something that works well for everyone.

@rab That makes sense. I've got a version 2 of the timeline editor in the works that should make it a lot less clunky to work with, so suggestions like this are highly appreciated so I can try to work them into its next release also. :)

@Althalosian-bears-myrrh-from-the-East Thanks for the suggestion! You might be interested in the Lore page type, which was made to encompass books, stories, manuscripts, and other written/oral works within your world. You can also customize the page template to fit closer to exactly what you want.

You might also be interested in the native Documents feature on the site, which lets you write and store stories on the site, but also lets you link any pages you want directly to the story (and offers a handy sidebar for you to quick-reference any linked page while you write).

Do either of those help? Each page type suggestion usually takes a few weeks at least to build and I've had over 1,200 suggestions over the years, so I try to prioritize the most-requested first and combine them when I can (e.g. Book/Story –> Lore).

@Katastrophe I think that's a good idea. I probably need to figure out and formalize some kind of rule of what's determined spam and what's not, but I think that'd definitely improve the rest of the forums and also make a cool place for everyone to find each others' stuff. :)

@Flimsy_Foe I'll try to get that in a release soon.

@StevenUniversefangirl It would be a lot of work, but I think it'd be an awesome feature. It's something I want to do eventually, but it'll probably be a while since there's so much to do to make it work. Big, new features are super exciting to plan and build though!
