”I… I didn’t. I just guessed,” Felix tried, starting to panic a bit. No fuck he’s on to me… He’ll hate me if he finds out!

"Hey. Hey, it's okay," Zach comforted him, running a hand down his cheek and jaw. "You can tell me. I'm a werewolf with an insane mother, not much fazes me." He smiled at Felix a little bit, tilting his head.

Just as with the panic attack earlier, the voices came back. Felix hated those voices, and he hated what they told him.

He’ll hate you, you know.

No, he won’t! Felix thought. He loves me!

Oh, but… does he, really? It’s the only sane reaction. He should hate you. You’re a freak.

A freak. It echoed his mind.

Felix heart was pounding as he spoke. Quiet, ashamed. He knew that these might be his last words to Zach, ever. ”I’m a mindreader,” he wispered.

(Please let him be pissed off, I feel like we need some drama lol)

Zach blinked a little bit, before furrowing his brows and straightening his head. "Why didn't you tell me earlier?"

”I’m sorry,” Felix wispered, tears staring to quietly fall down his cheeks. ”I wanted to, but I just… I couldn’t.”

"You could've. I trusted you with my secret," Zach pointed out, but nevertheless reaching forward to gently wipe a couple tears away with his thumb.

”I know! I’m so sorry, it’s just…” Felix swallowed, didn’t want to look Zach in the eyes. ”People usually get scared. I mean… you are aware that I have heard your every thought ever since you started trusting me, right?”

"Yes, I know that. That's not the part I'm scared of. It explains a lot, just…why couldn't you tell me?" He asked, tilting his head in confusion again.

”I thought you would hate me,” Felix said quietly. ”And I… I love you to much to let you go. I couldn’t risk that you would leave me.” He looked down. ”Please, d-don’t leave me,” he wispered, his voice cracking a bit at the last words.

"Of course I won't leave you, darling," Zach reassured him, throwing in the last word on a whim. "I just…never mind. It makes sense now." He reached up to stoke Felix's cheek softly.

”I hated lying to you,” Felix cried, calming down a bit. ”I’m so sorry, Zach. You should never have trusted me. I didn’t even… hell, all I did was return your keys to you! Why did you have to start trusting me?”

"Not many people can see a werewolf and stay shut about it," He admitted, shrugging. "And then I fell in love with you."

Felix stopped crying. He bit his own lip. ”You fell in love with me,” he repeated. No one had ever fallen in love with him before.

"Well, what do you call this?" Zach gestured to the two of them, tilting his head with a small smile. "Yes, Felix, I fell in love with you."

”But I am weird. I am so different from everyone else. I have been called creepy, a psycho, a weirdo.” He couldn’t understand. ”I am unstable and I have panic attacks all the time. I am a freak. Just like they told me. How can you like me, when I am all of those things?”

Zach scoffed a little, lifting Felix's chin with his finger gently. "So am I, Felix. I'm a halfblood, and have been called so, and other things, many times. Did you see how terrified I am of my own mother? That's not normal," He spoke softly, and comfortingly. "I love you because you're you. Don't even doubt that. Okay?"

”Okay.” Felix leaned in, hesitantly. A quick, unsecure kiss. He didn’t want to rush things if Zach didn’t want to, but he really couldn’t stop himself.

Zach smiled a little bit, holding his chin gently and leaning in to kiss him again, more sure than the one before. Felix's ability really didn't change things too much. He was still Felix, whether or not he knew what Zach was thinking.

”I heard that too,” Felix mumbled against his lips, smiling a bit about Zach’s opinions on his mindreading.

Zach smiled into the kiss, wrapping his arms around Felix and tilting his head a little. Good. I think you'll be hearing a lot about yourself from me.

”Oh, I know.” Felix laughed a little. ”I am, how did you phrase it… ’actually really pretty’, if I remember it correctly.”

"Well, you are," Zach mumbled against his lips with a little, embarrassed smile. "You're gorgeous."

”I can only say the same about you, my sunshine.” Felix wrapped his arms around Zach’s lower back and maybe, just maybe, he let them slid a couple of centimeters in under Zach’s shirt as well.

(Hey do you have a special idea for that tune that Zach is always humming? Cause I just got an idea… it’s not a super exciting idea but it could be cute lol)

Zach giggled, not at all minding Felix's touch. "Have I told you I actually really like it when you call me that?"

”I think you have.” Felix got a little braver, moving his hands up over Zach’s waist and lower back. His skin felt hot against his hands and Felix shivered a little of delight.

(I thought if you had some idea for the further plot if the tune would have some kind of meaning later or if it was a special song…? Cause else I have one…)

"Well, I just said it again." Zach smiled to himself, leaning into him a little bit. Your hands are really cold. I don't mind.
