Jack spawns in a spruce forest

Rach spawns just outside the spruce forest and starts moving around looking at the terrain.

Jack starts gathering wood logs

Jack makes a crafting table, wooden sword, wooden pickaxe, and wooden axe

Rach moves across a grassy plain still outside the spruce forest collecting seeds. She also makes a crafting table and a wooden pickaxe. Then she finds some stone to mine to make other tools.

Jack looks for and finds a cave to mine stone in

Jack mines a full stack of cobblestone and makes a stone sword, stone pickaxe, stone axe, and a furnace, plus he also mines half a stack of coal to fuel his furnace

Rach finds a cave and starts mining the coal at the entrance to make herself some torches. They continues farther into the cave to collect more ore.

Jack mines some coal and makes some torches. Then he goes back to forest to chop down more trees.
