Ryder puts a finger up. “In that case, I have a perfect solution for Gabriel.”
Cage pauses in horror. “Oh no.”
“No no, this is a good one! He’s not allowed to kiss Silver, right? He can just kiss Miki, and Miki can kiss Silver. Brilliant.”
Cage gags. “That’s worse than my ideas! What’s wrong with you??”

Violet shakes her head a bit, regretting coming down in the middle of that conversation.
“You’re fine, Miki. And I’m sure the boys are adult enough to work something out civilly.”

Miki snort laughed, causing peanut butter to go up her nose, and choked while fanning herself. "It buuuuuuurns" she whispered.

Silver turned around, bowl of hot Thai food in her hands, and stared up at Ryder. She opened her mouth several times, but nothing came out, until finally she just glared at him and walked away into the living room.

"Oh my word." Miki coughed. "That was the most painful thing I've ever experienced. BUT RYDER. Can you even imagine??? Imagine with me, for one moment, Gabriel kissing… anyone other than Silver. Just imagine. Also, for the record, he barely even kisses Silver. She's usually the aggressor. Also can you imagine either of them being okay with the other one kissing me? Yeah, no. But thanks for trying." she patted him on the arm consolingly.

Ryder shakes his head. “Your just mad you didn’t think of it. And you think Silver’s the first person he kissed? Think again.”
Violet decides against pouring herself a glass of water, and instead pours herself a glass of wine.
Oh my.
Cage chokes. “RYDER. Omg, you’re making me sick!”

Miki froze, blinking at Ryder, as Silver slowly retraced her steps and planted herself in front of Ryder again.
"what." she asked, voice so low it was almost a whisper.
"Ooooooooh boy." Miki said to her peanut butter. "This is gonna be… something."

Violet takes a big sip (fancy for ‘gulp’) of her wine and heads back upstairs.
Ryders eyes widen and he stands up straight, arms off of the counter.
“That- no that’s not what I meant. We were like eight. Calm down.”
Cage stands. “Wow! Look at the time! I’m gonna go call Robin, byee.” And with that he quickly stands and exits out the backdoor.

Miki laughed. "Oh my goodness, Cage. This is hilarious. I wouldn't miss this for anything."
Silver raised her eyebrows, nodding slightly. "Yes. And…?"

Ryder rolls his eyes, not caring to elaborate or brag now that she’s irritated. “Nothing more to know.”
Goodness gracious. Do you really care if he’s kissed anyone else? Are you worried he’s secretly gay or something??

Miki smirked behind her peanut butter. Dude, you're so dead.
Silver's hair began to wisp around, as if blown by an invisible wind. Slowly she took a deep breath and turned away. I'm already angry at Ben. Don't take it out on Ryder. I can ask Gabriel later if Ryder is lying or not.

He shakes his head and looks back to Miki.
You live with this? Kissa lives with this? How are you guys all alive?

Miki raised an eyebrow at him. Silver finally let out a huff and stalked back to her food in the living room, turning the TV on to a sappy soap opera.
"You're lucky." Miki whispered. "She's not used to sharing Gabe with anyone. Also pro tip: don't antagonize her when she's already mad at Ben."

“I didn’t antagonize.” He whispers back in defense. “I was talking to you, not her.” He looks over his shoulder to raise an eyebrow at her. “It’s a wonder all of you are alive. Ben, Sil and Kiss haven’t murdered each other? Amazing.”

Miki rolled her eyes. "If Gabriel is being discussed, you're talking to her. She's very… protective of him. In case you hadn't noticed, it seems 'your Gabriel' and 'her Gabriel' are basically two different creatures. And they try to murder each other, trust me. But Sil and Kissa are his favorite kids so, you know how it is. Parents and kids have their screaming matches, but it just means they love each other." she shrugged.

Ryder nods, taking mental note. “Yeah. Okay.”
He looks back to Miki, then to the stairs. “Vi- violet took the wine with her, by the way. I dunno how concerning that should be? But she took the whole bottle.”

Miki nodded as she shoved another knife load of peanut butter into her mouth. "Very. You should be very concerned."

Ryder nods again. “Sarcasm? Or no? Because if Dio took a bottle of wine and retreated upstairs I would be worried.”

Miki snorted and flinched as her nose burned again. "Oh my goodness. Does he even drink wine? Or does he just drink… I don't know, rice? But yes. When Violet drinks wine, you should be very concerned. But she doesn't get hungover. Which is super weird. But I think it's related to her powers or something. But she does get drunk. And this is the exact type of situation–" she waved her hand around to indicate the library, and Silver shoving Thai food in her face, "That would make her drink."

“He drinks rice wine.” Ryder states. “Which I’m sure tastes awful. And I can’t imagine Violet being or getting drunk. How many times has it happened?”

"Hmmm, a few? Just wait. I'd bet money the next time she comes down she'll be tipsy. And if Ben is still mad about Gabe and Sil, she'll drink more." Miki finally put her peanut butter away. "She just gets really sweet and sleepy. But Ben will freak."

Ryder chuckles. “Man alive, that’s hilarious. Can I taste your guy’s wine? Dio’s is gross.”

Miki grinned and held up her finger. "Now this is a perfect example of a good time to stop and think, 'Would Ben freak out about this?' and of course, the answer is yes." she went over to the wine cabinet. "But we're gonna do it anyway. Red or white?"

“Both.” He answers, grabbing two glasses. “He’d freak out about us having wine? Why? I’ve had wine before. Haven’t you?”

Miki grabbed a bottle of each and set them on the counter, rummaging around in the drawers for a corkscrew. "Well, yeah. I have. But have you met Ben? It doesn't matter if you've drank before, he'll just freak out anyway." she finally found a corkscrew and handed it to Ryder. "You do it, muscles."

Ryder takes the corkscrew and pops the cork out, filling their cups to the brim with red wine first.
Cage re enters from outside and his eyes widen. “That’s… a lot of wine.”

Miki rolled her eyes. "Ryder is a barbarian, Cage. He doesn't know how civilized people drink wine." she bent over and slurped wine out of her glass until it was low enough to lift the glass safely. "Also if I get tipsy, Ryder, it's your fault."

Ryder laughs and ruffles her hair. “I’m counting on it.” He takes a big gulp of his and smacks his lips for a second. “Aaaum, not as bad as Dio’s. Tastes… horrible honestly, but more expensive. This was made with grapes and fresh money.”
Cage giggles, “probably, if it’s Ben’s wine. Careful, that stuff cost like 150$ a bottle.”

Miki smacked Ryder and handed him her half empty glass. "Yeah. And I'll make you pay him if you have too much. Here, finish mine."

Ryder downs his glass and takes Miki’s to finish it. “Bold of you to assume I have any money.” He gulps the remains of hers and opens the white wine. “Wanna try this one too?”
Cage stares, biting his lip and waiting for Ryder to get loopy.

Miki cocked a fingergun at him. "I know you don't have any money, which means you owe me for like… $300 worth of favors."

He laughs again and fills their glasses to the brim with white wine. “I think not. Drink your juice.”
Ben walks out of the hallway, running a hand through his hair a little stressed.
I don’t know why he has to give me so much trouble.
He slips his phone into his back pocket and looks up, pausing.
My wine!

Miki sighed, staring at the glasses. "Ryder. It's not juice." she carefully lifted her glass with resignation and sipped it down to a safe level again. Suddenly she saw Ben standing at the edge of the kitchen and coughed. "Violet took a bottle upstairs." she said, as if that explained everything.
