It's a modern retelling, Meg and Mr. March are black, Jo and Mrs. March are white (Meg and Jo are from previous relationships) and then Beth and amy (the most wonderful woman in the world) are mixed race.

Oh my god read them! I still haven't read "A Sky Beyond the Storm" (idk if it's out yet or not tbh) but that series is like…the best. It broke my heart

It works really well. There's no point in a modern adaptation if everything stays the same.

I LOVED THAT BOOK
I read that book in one day night because it was so good and I couldn't put it down and I just LOVED it. But then I sorta regretted it because then I didn't get to spread out the goodness of reading it but its still SO GOOD!
