She smiled and rubbed his chest.

"I want you. I need you." He admitted

"You need me? That's a new one… but I need you too."

"I want to.. Do things… Good things, of course, to you…" He confessed

"Mm… what sort of things?"

"Sexy things… And I don't wanna wait…"

"Well, we're leaving Russia in a few days, and then we'll tell Phoenix, and then the wedding is after that, right? That's… that's only a week, Vozzie. I'm getting married in a week." It hit her like a slab of concrete, and she knew all too well what that felt like. "I'm getting married in a week…"

"I'm also getting married for the first time in a week…" He told her

"A week, Vozzie." Her eyes lit up. "You can make it a week."

"I made it 13.8 billion years. I can make it a week more."

She nodded.
There was a moment or two of silence.
"…Vozzie?"

"Yes, Nyxie?"

"I know this is random, but… have you ever been to… I mean, what other… planets have you been to? Like, in our solar system?"

"Mars, Venus, Mercury. I can't go to the others; There's nothing to walk on. But I've been to many other planets outside of the solar system."

"Cool… Anne loved the planets, and outer space…"

"Yeah… They're very pretty. Just beautiful and wonderfully made."

"Did you make any planets?" She started rubbing his chest again.

"… Mars. But when I made it, it was like Earth. But now…"

"Tell me about it."

"It was beautiful! Trees were abundant and Martians were on it! But they looked like you and me, and acted like you and me too! But as Mars exited the goldilocks zone… They died… And the water on it froze."

She nodded. "It sounds pretty."

"It was…" He took out his phone.
"I have pics of it." He showed her.
It looked like Earth but not Earth, if that makes sense

Nyx stared at it, delighted. "It's beautiful…"

"Yeah… Now look at it." He showed a pic of Mars now. It was a disappointment and a failure

She sighed and leaned her head against his shoulder. "I know, it's awful… but still pretty."

"Just… Why, God?"

Her eyes were sad. She kept rubbing his chest, kissing his cheek gently.

"It had failed me as a child. You were destined for greatness, Mars. You disappointed me." He ranted.
"That is all."

She smiled sadly and nuzzled into his neck. "You smell good."
