Abbie's eyes widened as Cat (and her cat) approached.
"Can I please pet him?" Abbie asked, approaching them.
"Seriously? You do know that cats generally don't like people, right?" Xiomara followed reluctantly. Yes, she wouldn't have asked-or bothered in any case-but Xiomara felt like an older sister to Abbie, even if they weren't related.
"But it's a cat! And cats can be cute!" Abbie countered.
Xiomara rolled her eyes. "It's your funeral."
Cat shrunk back when the two approached her. Plag climbed out of her hood and stood on her shoulder. "Yes, you can pet me. I like scratches behind my ears the most," he purred.
"Plag," Cat groaned. But it was to late they were already coming over. So she turned to them and gave a friendly smile. "Sure you can pet him," she said smiling.
Lachesis squealed. "Ooh, a talking cat!"
Atropos rolled her eyes. "Don't you remember giving the mortal that?"
"Oh yeah…"
"So what are your names?" Cat asked shyly, her hands hidden in her pocket. Everything about this situation made her want out. She'd been mocked yesterday by her entire school, and now she didn't trust anyone. But she kept a smile on her face so no one would ask her what was wrong.
Clotho sighed. "Lachesis, go tell that girl that you're sorry."
"Why?" Lachesis pouted.
"Because, if you don't, I will have Atropos kill your favorite mortal."
"Fine."

"Oh! I'm Abbie! And this is," Abbie gestured to Xiomara, "my friend, Xiomara."
Xiomara gives Cat a half-wave, giving an annoyed look to Abbie.
Cat noticed the other person approaching, Plag did to. He hissed and jumped back into Cat's hood. "What's the matter with you?" Cat scolded him.
"That one doesn't smell right," Plag had his voice lowered so only Cat could hear him.
"They're fine, be nice," Cat whispered back to him. "Hello," she said as the person approached.
"Hey," Lachesis said. "Well, my stupid sister said to say sorry."

Hinata spotted the other people.
"Not good for my plans…. but manageable." She continued to walk to the center of the park.
Atropos tilted her head and cursed. "Oh no. She's coming."
Clotho looked around and spotted her. "Be nice," she said, turning back to her sister.

Hinata had reached the center of the park. She pulled her jacket off, revealing her wing tattoo and halter top. On her hands were two gloves; the one on her left hand was longer and seemed to have technology on the side. Tapping away, she worked at putting numbers in to make this go smoothly.
Clotho sighed. Atropos was still glaring at the girl. "Go talk to her of you must, but if you tell her, well…"

Hinata finished with her numbers. With much bravado, she pulled a circular ring that had appeared off of the glove and tossed it into the air. With a hiss and sigh, it expanded and filled with a light blue and white swirled substance. Hinata stood back.
Atropos glared. "She's using magic in the park? In front of mortals?"

Hinata looked at Atropos.
"It's not magic. It's technology."
Atropos was furious at being spoken to like that by this… trash. "Well, no one here has the advanced technology like that, so put that away!" She hissed.

"Not yet! You of all should know the importance of what I'm doing! I'll just wipe their minds later!" Hinata whispered furiously.
Atropos scowled. "I'm in charge of the deaths, not fate, you fool."

"Then you must realize that if I don't do this, many will die!"
Atropos shrugged. "I wasn't really paying attention."
Clotho laid a hand on her sister's arm. "Calm, sister. Calm."

Hinata shrugged, then turned back to the portal.
"Gods. What a pain."
Clotho sighed. "Αδελφή, ελέγχει τον εαυτό σου."
