"Yeah, I do actually." Aubrey chuckled
"WE ALL DO!" Ellie yelled enthusiastically
Ellie calmed down and sat on the chair. "I hope Xander was safe from Jocelyn," Ellie thought.

Xander walked through the thick of the forest. He didn't think anyone had seen him leave, and that was probably for the better. With any luck, he wouldn't have to encounter any of that magic mess again.
He continued until the foliage was too thick to pass, then he used his powers to warp through the shadows to whatever was ahead.
(And I'm going to have him accidentally warp close to where they are, so that's how he gets back to the group.)

Ellie started moving around the house. when she glanced out a window and saw a shadowy mist apear

Xander appeared from the shadows and leaned up against a tree, panting heavily. How far had he traveled? Of course shadow warping was exhausting, but he must've gone quite a while. He started walking when he saw a house. Xander froze up a bit. He wasn't supposed to be here.
Ellie gasped, she ran outside to great Xander.

Xander saw Ellie, and his heart almost stopped. His thoughts started racing, but he immediately put that to a stop, afraid that she would catch word of his fear.
"Ellie? What happened?! You're okay, though. What about everyone else?"
Ellie ran and hugged Xander. "I'm fine, Arien is in the house with Miko and Evie a new girl named Audrey showed up to.

Xander was stiff as she hugged him, but he didn't pull away.
"Did you all find out what was going on?" he asked, "That was some really… strange magic. Actually, that's an understatement."
"Jocelyn wanted to break into my mind," Ellie said. "But, I'm fine she didn't succeed," Ellie reassured him.

"Still don't really understand who Jocelyn is, but okay," Xander replied, "If she's not coming back, I don't really need to know."
He shoved his hands in his pockets. Now his anxiety was showing in his body language too.
"Jocelyn connected to Evie we don't know if she will come back or not," Ellie explained. Ellie noticed his body language. "Hey, are you ok. You seem off."

"Well, yeah. Just saw a bunch of crazy stuff. I kind of want to go home," Xander said, shuffling his feet a bit. "But I'm fine, for the most part. Don't worry yourself."
"Ok, I caused all this, I'm sorry," Ellie told Xander

"It's whatever. No one was hurt. And I doubt you could've singlehandedly made Jocelyn appear. It was a bad combination of powers. All of you seem to have mind-related powers, which I know nothing about. They scare me a little, honestly," Xander admitted.
"I would never hurt anyone with my powers," Ellie reassured him
