Hawkwillow grinned down at his new apprentice. He led Ashpaw to the edge of the lake and stopped him with his tail. "Can you tell where we are?"

Silverpaw returned to camp, dropping some prey on the fresh kill pile. Dewpaw spotted her and padded up to her. "Where have you been?! I was so worried! I thought I was going to have to go look for you!" The gray apprentice searched her sister's pelt for injuries. "I'm fine Dewpaw." Silverpaw protested, but Dewpaw didn't care. "You should still go see Whitestreak." "But-" "No buts. Go." Silverpaw trudged her way to the medicine den, where she was checked over, told she was fine, and sent to her den. "Told you." She muttered to her sister. "Don't even start." Dewpaw replied. "You're exhausted and you need to rest. Now go to sleep." The two apprentices curled up in their nests and closed their eyes.
Swanpaw smiled as Silverpaw left, and turned to sort more herbs, but Whitestreak stopped her. "You need some rest too." He said. "You've been working all day." Swanpaw nodded, and curled up in her nest with a yawn.

Springheart stumbled out of the nursery, she blinked the sleep out of her eyes as the sun beamed down on her tan pelt, "at least the sun's warm." She purred, shaking her pelt as if it were heavy with rain.
