Susan flinches, averting her eyes to the ground. She just wanted to crawl into a corner and weep, but knew that it would prove worthless. Her hands clutched the hem of her shirt and Susan bit her lip.
"I'm…Susan. Nice to meet you." Her voice was quiet, but affirmative.
