Any ideas? ^^

Apologies for posting this twice. I accidentally posted on the incorrect account, so I'm trying again on the correct one. :)
Anyways. I need any (and I mean any) ideas for a plot twist in-the-making that I'd like to incorporate somehow into my book.

So basically, I've got our sort-of-not-really villain whom I have mentioned around the forum before. Just in case you don't know about her, here's her profile. For anyone who doesn't want to read through the whole thing, basically it can be summed up to this:

She was crowned the queen of a huge country at only ten years old, after both of her parents were murdered by wizards and witches. When she was 14, a young wizard training in the capital became friends with her, and she trusted him a lot. He was in love with her, but she didn't feel the same way. He was angry and he cursed her into submission, leaving her pregnant with a child she didn't want. So after giving birth later on, she dumps the aforementioned child on a mercenary who had been serving in her army, she outlaws the practice of magic with a penalty of life in jail (though that quickly escalated to public execution, because the jails filled up so quickly.)

But recently I've been thinking about… well, I've been playing with the idea that perhaps there's someone else. A kind of 'Woah I didn't see that coming!' villain who maybe plans to kill the Queen, take over the country or whatever. It'd also throw a giant monkey wrench into both the villain and the protagonist since the protagonist is the monarch's illegitimate son?

I dunno. I'm kind of just rambling at this point. Do you think this would make for an interesting twist? Do I need to twist it farther? What if this big bad is a mage too?

Any ideas are welcome, I'm just trying to make an interesting story! ^^

Maybe this alternate big bad could be a person who works closely within the government by Rosemary's side, that way she's always present during big moments , just enough for the proper amount of foreshadowing, then this character could have had some sort of part in twisting Rosemary into the person she became how does this sound…..

"I'm sure you don't recognize me Majesty." The woman spat the title out as if it were a curse, " That's because I made it that way, Ever sense you dumped that child of yours onto my father, I was neglected, forgotten, who takes a single glance at a child you adopt from off the streets when you've been gifted a royal brat." The woman was shaking with furry her words vial and nasty, "SO I did what I could to get revenge on you, I made my way up until at last I was your beloved puppy dog curled up in your lap, heading your every beck and call, assassinating anyone who got in the way doing your dark deeds, I whispered Idea's and fantasies into your mind gave you ideas that developed your plans and ruined your reputation. That poison in your wine, you thought it was the royal dress maker but no it was me, but I happily got rid of that dress maker for you behind closed doors, that slip of the hand from the captain of the guard that launched a dagger into your shoulder , again that was me after all only a magic user could have pulled that off so you thought the poor man had magic abilities and had him executed." The woman laughed a cruel and harsh sound, "Oh it was such a pity that the blade missed it's mark you see, you named me your heir so I naturally would have the kingdom had my plans succeeded. But here we are, I'm in control now and you will go live out the rest of your very short life being torn apart by those dear mages you've decided to imprison. Don't worry they don't have much restraint you wont last long my dear."

Something along those lines
