Geneva is black coffee with a dash of sugar and milk, grey skies with the sun peeking out, half-written letters scattered across a dark wooden desk, a collection of books organized by color, motorcycle skid marks left on a driveway, immaculate dark chocolate sea salted caramels in shiny wrappers, and a broken instrument still playing on.

oooohhh I really like this one

@painters_tape

omgggg I love doing these so much I'm so glad I found this post, excuse me while I word vomit my angst all over this page.
Selene is the smell of rain, the petrichor that hangs in the damp earth of a deep forest. She's harsh yellow eyes, the deadly silence of a feline prowl. She's the humidity of a greenhouse sliding against your skin. She's bare feet in shallow puddles, dark clouds on the horizon, black dresses with high collars. She's clenched teeth and sterling silver. She's dark notes on old pianos. She's hot chocolate and thunder storms, mahogany and green sea-glass.

Aw thanks Jensen!!

Mika is morning light streaming through the window of a dark room. He's a baby's laugh on a dismal day, small stitches pulling together something that began to fall apart long ago. He's a flickering lightbulb in an abandoned building. He's warm sunshine with a soft smile. The sound of a ukulele slowly strumming soft music as your eyes flutter shut, and sleep's warm hug wraps its arms around you.

Adrien is waking up tired. He is your favorite clothes, worn thin from years of wear and tear. He is cracked tiles and unlabeled pills. He is like forgetting important details and the dread you feel before you get a shot. He's the pain you get when you skin your knee an aches settling deep into your bones. Adrien is the sting of getting an IV inserted. He is staring blankly at too bright screens and waiting anxiously for test results to arrive. The tenseness before you present an important project. A constant weight on your shoulders.

@SaltyLasagna

Poor Adrien sounds like the definition of depression, anxiety, and general pain

Yeah, he has a serous heart condition so he's just a sad ball of worry and random energy bursts. (And I write him so much fluff because he's in pain all the time.)

@SaltyLasagna

aw poor sad boi
it's good that he gets fluff though. I don't write fluff for a lot of my characters. And any happy characters I've written so far have either gone through a lot of pain or will go through a lot of pain, or they die because I'm kind of a cruel writer

Yeah, my main series (It's technically a really long weird anthology) is very dark and sad, so I have a tiny cache of fluff and happy stuff squirreled away in case I get too sad.

@SaltyLasagna

Yeah lol. I'm cowriting a novel that's so dark and twisted that my girlfriend joked it should be tittle "trigger warning". The only non-dark character in there is Mika, and even he's gone through a lot

Oof. My attention span isn't long enough for a novel (Hence the anthology). I admire your dedication and I hope your novel turns out well! What's it actually called?

@SaltyLasagna

Thank you :) We haven't 100% decided on a title yet, but it'll most likely end up kiss me goodbye/kiss me goodnight/ kiss me goodbye/goodnight with a bullet

Titling is hard dude. Goodnight with a bullet sounds like something I'd definitely want to buy, if you don't mind my opinion.

Jon is the sun breaking through the clouds for the first time in weeks, the pain of unrequited love and the sense of contentment with the requited, a pencil finally sketching a plan, warm bread and soup after a cold day, the feeling when your goal is met, bloodstained clothes hung out to dry, a wide smile masking grief, the kind of smile that makes warmth flood through you, freckles, eyes that take your worries away and a heart that shares them, a sense of carpe diem and you only live once, sad eyes on a happy face, chivalry in desperate times, love and friendship so deep that you'd sacrifice yourself for them without a second thought.

@SaltyLasagna

kiss me goodnight with a bullet was what I meant when I put the "/" in there but hey, that works too lol.

@Yamatsu

Yamatsukami is the strong mountain. His heart is stout, a volcano of passion threatening to erupt when you least expect it. He is an avalanche, unrelenting force crashing down on foes and friends alike. His mighty wings beat the air like dreaded sails, he is what other dragons fear. Yama is fierce, green eyes glaring from the stone like emeralds. He is the wet sand between your toes, new jeans, and a fresh t-shirt. He is solid granite and basalt. His words are fire, and his fists are comets.

@Wry_Wyvern

Josh is the sliver of a crescent moon in the sky and the scent of a cool autumn night. He's sweatshirts and jeans year-round, soft notes on a guitar, a confession whispered for no one to hear. He's messy hair, a messy notebook, messy thoughts. He's being awake alone at two a.m.; he's dark circles under bright, inspired eyes. Josh is the quiet intensity of misty rain, the gentle erosion that moves mountains. He's hanging around book stores late at night. He's the childlike joy of having a secret, the weariness of loss. Josh is the immortal, the ultimatum, the final broken notes of a song that was never supposed to end.

Wow, I felt that in my bones!

@Fyrebird

Luiza is the shadows that float at the edge of your vision. She's the calm, waiting before the storm. She's a swirling cloud of red and black, creating nightmares wherever she goes. Luiza is a fire on a rainy night, sizzling and crackling, sparks flying in every direction. She is solid jade eyes, glistening with forgotten tears. She is the soul of everything that is lost and alone. She is the dust that settles in an abandoned house, hidden away from the world.

Not my best work, but I did this on the fly right here, with no editing. LOVE this idea, by the way.
