How did you first come up with your character(s)?

Marissa: I got really into weridcore and stuff at the beginning of 7th grade abd I made this little sheet of weirdcore ocs. And one was a sexy mushroom, one had a TV head and no body, the third had smelly hands. Then I just made Marissa. I decided on the head last and just drew whatever I thought I'd be good at. It was an eve. She has a see through stomach that shows off her spine. Her anatomy does not make sense.

Savannah: she was my very first oc that I made when I was bored at softball practice around seven years ago. she went through a whole lotta changes over those years but ultimately ended up as a character with traits I admired about others and traits I liked about myself, the negative traits based on myself as well.
Sammy: I had grown up, always wanting an older sibling (as I was the oldest) so I deemed it fair for her to have a sibling like relationship with her cousin (like I sorta have with my own)

Carlos: I tripped in gym class and was like damn bad karma and then I thought wait what if there was an embodiment of bad luck?
Carmen: bad luck always needs a good luck counterpart :)

Jane: well I got interested in the Jack the Ripper case and so I thought it would be cool to make a character who was the daughter of one of his victims (made my own). She, along with her newfound family made up of oc children of the rest of the victims, are trying to find their mother's killer and discovered that Jack is their father, and his victims were his ex lovers that he fathered children with

Shea: originally a LEGO Ninjago OC. I remember watching the first few seasons and wondering "hey, what if there was a master of wind?" and i made her and then Morro (the actual master of wind) showed up and I was like "oof dang. guess she's his sister now." and she's just changed over time. i've kept a lot of her character the same, but she's gone through a heavy overhaul with her design and powers. I also remember reading a fanfic where an oc was the master of fear and i thought "wogh what if i had a master of fear but she wasnt the bad guy and actually wants to be good–" and then shea's current powers were born
Abel: very similar to Shea but instead I went on a funny picrew, pressed the random button a few times and came out with abel's very first design. at first they were a bnha oc but I decided I liked them too much to keep them in BNHA so they became my favorite lil guy
Pazia: again, started as a fandom oc. Pazia at first was Paisley Addams-Bucket, a sorceress who worked under Doctor Strange as the Apprentice Supreme before I kind of overhauled her and made her into my "reluctant antagonist" figure. she's always had glass manipulation powers tho
Grace: oof, she's gone through the most change. At first she was a ninjago oc: Raquel Mikel'oni-Bishop, an alcoholic "bad girl" half-demon trying to always keep the monster within her at bay. I thought that was cringe and so I overhauled her into May Mikkeloni but I still didn't like that so she became Grace Evans. She also morphed from being a punk to a goth
Felix and Rhyda: I made them at the same time and they've always been exclusive to my original stories. I remember I wanted six characters to be in their group and I only had the above four. I wanted kind of a flirty gambler and a sarcastic lesbian and they were born alsdkfj
Bianca: also was a Ninjago OC to begin with! she was the president of a region called Thieves' County in the middle of a desert and assisted the ninjas momentarily. she was also (shockingly) straight at first. I had a dream when I was like thirteen where Bianca and Shea kissed and I remember waking up like "huh. that was weird" and now they're lesbians laskdjf
Drew: I created Drew bc i had no sad white boys in my story

im going to be a little annoying bc i was (and still am) an annoying fandom kid. sorry not sorry.

Spence: They've been my original OC since I was in 7th grade and I've just jumped them from story to story until I found a project they really fit into. They are also who my Minecraft skin and username are based off of. Their brother, Frayda, was moved to a different story, because he felt more like a cowboy than a soldier. Which is okay, they're both living their best lives now.
Jordan: Also an og from 7th grade, originally an Avengers OC who I tweaked a bit when I found a story he belonged in. As an Avengers OC, he had energy powers from an accident with a nuclear reactor. Now he's an embodiment of chaos and destruction.
Neptune: Was originally Tommy in a DSMP fanfiction I was writing. He has a very different personality now, but he still kinda looks like Tommy (blonde hair, blue eyes, tall and babyfaced) and exists in a zombie apocalypse.
Marsh: Originally Sam from the same DSMP fic. Also has a very different personality, but also looks very different. I kept his green hair, but now he has darker skin and a broken leg.
Pink: Originally Ponk from above fic. He is still very similar (obviously), but his name is Droven Pinkerton. He also looks very much the same (bleached hair, dark skin, wears a mask, red and yellow theme going on) and if anyone here knows DSMP lore, I did in fact include a scene where Marsh amputates Pink's arm (for his safety this time, not because he's evil).
Ali'sen: I wanted a mechanic character for my scifi crew and I wanted him to be entirely unique. He is definitely the character I've put the most effort into, considering I made up a whole new species, language, and culture just so I could have him be entirely alien.
Lybra: Was inspired by Poe Dameron from Star Wars (being a cocky, quippy pilot with a weird gay tension with his new mission partner), but has a more intense personality. He was created after Ali'sen to create crontradiction with Ali'sen's personality.

With Quinn, I just liked the name Quinn and made a character for it.
He needed an S.O., so I made Jasmine.
He needed a sibling, so I made Cayde.
Amelya came along because I needed a short violent person who can really kick some ass, so she's kind of the embodiment of my imaginary kickass, badass, cool self.
