Should I make it like a redemption arc or like an arc when the others kill him (I don't know what it's called at the moment)
I'm so confused on what to do, like I wanna see both play out but I can't choose both to happen.
It depends on how heinous a villain he is. Usually big bads don't get redeemed for the obvious reasons of the heinous things they've done. The worse a villain has been, the lower chances your audience is going to want them to be redeemed at all. And they have to be likeable enough to redeem in the first place, or it will seem really out of place. I recommend watching these three videos, they explain things better than I can:
The last one talks about heroes turning to the side of evil, but it's still just as worth watching and very helpful.
