It might be a good idea to go with the snobby princess just to break stereotypes….but I think it's more important to consider what kind of personality your main character has. If your MC is patient/determined/empathetic, they'd be more likely to connect with the snooty one and eventually befriend her. But if they're not any of those things, then realistically the two of them may never become close. Of course it's up to you, though.
