I've never really looked at Bruno Mars songs aside from the occasional radio appearance, but there's a lot of really good wholesome romance / friendship songs on his discography I'll be looking into now. This is Ember introducing him to Serra / them just chilling / hanging with Zelina and pranking people, basically a carefree montage
Song 4: traitor - Olivia Rodrigo
I was SO UNSURE with this song. Literally every song about betrayal is about being cheated on or something, we need more friends betraying people songs. So anyway, take these lyrics NOT at face value. (I'm sure you've picked up on what scene this is based on context clues lol)
Song 5: i don't miss u - carobae
(ignore whatever she says about falling in love) and this song is SO PERFECT for Ryder in jail after the betrayal. He's both in denial and just really depressed at the same time and I feel this song embodies that 'how could you…" very well compared to the 'how could you!!!' of the last one.
Afternotes: To all the singers out there- write more songs about friendship, smh. So much untapped potential! A gaping hole in the market! And if you guys know artists that write about friendships, hit me up with their names. As always, let me know you opinions!

Song 1: Curiosity - Carly Rae Jepsen
This song 100% sounds like its got a case of badboy syndrome, but if you change the context in you head from 'hot dude' to 'epic witchcraft' (I'd take either) then it works really well for her pushing a bit too far and then ending up cursing herself.
Song 2: Twisted - MISSIO
I actually debated putting this song on one of my first playlists in this thread (free cookie if you guess which one) but decided against it because the character didn't seem evil enough. For a straight up emotionless villain, though? Heck yeah!
Song 3: Hello - Caleb & Kelsey
This is a cover of the Adele song that's a duet. It's for the times when Eliza constantly reaches out to her brother (she must be a great actor) and constantly he responds and then gets stabbed in the back. He never learns. :( The original works too if you can't find this cover but I'd save it for later.
Song 4: Cold-Blooded - Khalid
This would be a bunch of flashbacks and maybe some interventions from friends to convince Ezra his twin is too far gone while he struggles with the thought of it. Lots of angsty staring into space until at last his sister shows up again to fight the big bad.
Song 5: Hello - Adele or The Gardiner Sisters
I know what your thinking. "Kitty, didn't we just get this song? Are you so lazy that you'll use the same song twice in one playlist? ugh. I'm unsubscribing." But hold on a minute. I was thinking about the sacrifice scene and how to give it a sense of coming full circle and remember the 12 (feels like 200) covers of 'Hello' I listened to to find the perfect first one. I feel like the song she was using to manipulate her brother earlier now being used to save him adds a lot to 'the feels' section of this playlist. Just picture the slow-motion death, maybe something like the scene of Zuko jumping in front of Katara in Avatar. If you want epic drama, go with the O.G. song. If you want somber sadness, go with the sisters. Try out both!
Afterword: This was fun to make! Also, I'm pretty sure I could sing all of Hello from memory now, even the verses. Hit me up with your feedback! Now, I'm going home and eating an ice pop because it's like 34 degrees Celsius here

i have playlists for most of my characters, but i want to see how you'll tackle my boy peter. a lot of his backstory is actually in the playlist section I have in his file, so i'll give you the general gist.
He was raised by a conservative mother and he had three siblings: an older sister, a younger brother, and a younger sister. His mother was not a great parent, and many of the motherly responsibilities fell on his older sister. Although she didn't want him to, Peter did his best to help her, and he didn't really have much of a social life until he graduated high school. He discovered his superpowers, matter manipulation, when he was 16 and used his powers constantly.
He started HRT and superhero work around the same time when he was 19. He was finally starting to figure out who he was as a person without losing any of his typical asshole nature. After a bit of doing hero work on his own, he joined the League and in his personal opinion, he was severely underutilized.
When Madeline came into the picture and ended up brainwashing Peter due to unfortunate circumstances, he did not take well to her screwing with his mind, but she was able to push his buttons and mold his brain to her will anyway.
Slowly, the original Peter still inside his mind somewhere was able to figure out what they were doing and tried his best to break free from their control, but it was no use. He ended up murdering his ex-girlfriend Marie in battle and he felt nothing.
After Marie's death, his self-preservation kicked into overdrive and he tried to just kill Madeline in the hopes that with her dead, the brainwashing would shatter and he'd be free. Of course, since she sees all the thoughts in his head, this failed and he started going crazy with all of the gaslighting, unable to tell what was real.
At the moment, he's practically a shell of his former self, but he's slowly trying to regain a sense of who he is.
