Is it possible to have multiple types of a particular template? For example, it would be handy if I could customize a science fiction character template for a scifi universe (with fields for say, cyberware), and have a fantasy character template for a fantasy universe (with fields for magic).

Well, you can add your own sections to it, so you could specifically add things for a fantasy character you can fill out, or a sci-fi section you can fill out. So you can't get different ones, but you can add things to it.
