So I’ve noticed a pattern, in adventure stories the protagonist is almost always a teenager ( sometimes a preteen or an adult ) but I have never seen an adventure story with… old people. Think about how hysterical it would be to have a group of elderly people go on a grand adventure ( please tell me someone, somewhere has thought of this ) I would like to get everyone else’s opinions on this so feel free!

Honestly that would be interesting, and let me tell you, old people can be brutal, I know by experience… (as an example: the janitor from my school can and will beat the crap out of anyone who deserves it and definitely knows how to fix everything around the school)

Hm- I like this- How about a sweet old lady and her young teenage helper going on an adventure after being whisked to a fantasy land
I was thinking more along the lines of a bunch of elderly people with walkers scaling a mountain, all the while yelling "What did you say?!" at one another. And maybe for the tragedy of the story, one of the old people could lose their dentures and it falls down the mountain.

I have a sixty-ish-year-old pair of guys in my dystopian story, one's a bandit warlord and the other's a crabby old doctor. They have a love-hate relationship and they kind of ended up adopting everyone younger than them within a ten-mile radius XDD I love them so much <3 Here's to more elderly main characters in adventure stories!!!!
In my fantasy world the main character is 44 and is really tired of killing monsters and just wants to retire with the love of his life but noooo, there's a haunted forest and still no-one else in his order can best him with a sword so he's gotta stay. This is majestic, and one of the characters should totally be just a sweet old lady who loves feeding birds, and then when they get into trouble, just this huge flock of birds starts swarming the enemy.
