Heyy, I am thinking about writing a story about outerspace-pirates or something like that.
Does anyone have informative sites, facts or just general information?

Well, there are two reasons (that I can think of atm besides breathing duh) why astronauts wear spacesuits. 1, to keep them from floating away. 2. because the pressure inside your body is much greater than the pressure outside (outer space). So if they took that spacesuit off (if we are pretending they can breathe) they would literally explode from having so much more pressure inside your body that outside.
I'm probably having the characters that are kind of humanlike but evolved in a way that allows them to survive without oxygen, and survive extreme hots and colds. So like, human 'laws of nature' don't really count.
Nouc, I say you should have a look at the Star Wars expanded universe. They have a lot of different versions of space pirates, and smugglers. Maybe base one off of a bounty hunter?
With the breathing thing, there are aliens in the Star Wars expanded universe that can breathe and survive in outer space.
