I had this random idea about turning my characters into gems from Steven Universe and figured other people might find it fun too
So tell me, what type of gem are they? Where is the gem on their body? What would they do in the story of Steven Universe? Gimme all the details
They can be a crystal already in the show like quartz or amethyst, one that has a connection to the character or one you just think looks cool. Go ham and have fun
Thyver would be a Fire Opal and his gem would be on his throat. He would absolutely idolise Garnet and follow her around a lot
Mela would be a Pink Agate and her gem would be on her chest. She'd try not to fight ever but if she did, she would have a shield which she'd throw at people like Captain America. She'd be obsessed with Pearl and they'd organise everything in the house together for fun
Ashten would be a Aragonite and his gem would be on the back of his left hand. He'd fight with a battle axe and would definitely like Amethyst the most
Foxxer would be a Gold Sheen Obsidian and his gem would be on his forehead. His gem would be cracked down the middle and fixed roughly. He'd refuse to let Steven's spit anywhere near him to fix it. He'd get along with Peridot but would be dragged along with Steven and Connie

Frog would be a Peridot and their gem would be on the back of their neck. They'd vibe with Canon Peridot and they'd just infodump with each other for hours and it'd be great.
Dick would be a Sapphire and his gem would replace one of his eyes. (He and Juniper would probably fit better if their roles were switched, but the colors just work too well.) He'd probably be a more animated and easily excitable Sapphire, making him fairly different from Canon Sapphire, but they'd have some very interesting conversations
Juniper would be a Ruby and his gem would be on his forehead. He'd be more of a Navy-ish Ruby and not want to punch everything in sight, but he's good just vibing with his fellow gems.
Shiloh would be an Amethyst and her gem would be on her chest. She would 100% hang out with Canon Amethyst, as they share a lot of the same vibes.
(and for the next two we shall ignore the fact that they are villains)
Vanessa would be a Fire Opal and her gem would be on her forehead. She and Lapis have a similar sense of humor and I'd love to see what kind of conversations that they'd have.
Alex would be a Citrine and his gem would be on the inside of his left hand. He'd do his best to ignore everyone else and just hang out on his own, but he'd probably end up being thrust into conversations and he'd end up enjoying himself.
Ren would be a pearl, and her gem would be on her back. She most likely serves a powerful quartz or something. Her backstory would probably be similar to Lapis :(
Zephyr would be a sapphire, with her gem on the back of her right hand. She'd probably be less dignified and more talkative and violent than Sapphire, but they might get along, who knows?
Lucas would be an amethyst with his gem on his right arm. He would be pretty similar to Jasper but a little less inclined to violence. He would admire Garnet.
Chan would be a spinel - he's very hyper but kind of sensitive. Would definitely be best buds with Amethyst and Spinel.
Elyas would be a ruby, with his gem on his chest and would (sadly) relate with White/Pink Pearl.
Himari would be a laid-back jasper, with her gem on the back of her neck. Kind of like Skinny Jasper but more energetic.
