Okay so I'm doing a sci-fi story and I'm involving a lot of mythical creatures in it but they're gonna be twisted to be better fit for space.
I'm using things like:
-Leviathan
-Sirens
-Goblins
-Harpies
-Banshees
-Trolls
I'm open to new ideas for what to use too.
I just need to brainstorm with ya'll.
Dragons? MAybe star fairies???? I'm not that good with Sci-Fi

The sirens, instead of singing and projecting illusions that lure you to them/your death, they could sing (or do something else) and take away oxygen??? But you’re so entranced that you don’t notice???? So its essentially the same thing but more….. space-y.

Banshees could be apparitions that appear right before a space disaster.
this is more technology based but the banshee could be a holographic clone of a mutilated corpse that slowly degrades the ship using a set of 4 tendrils, the degradation could be rusting, weakening of the hull, sapping power from the main reactor, etc…

I could see trolls living in small bands in caves on asteroids. Asteroid belts could be troll-infested territories where you have to be careful in case a group attacks your ship like pirates? They're commonly able to use illusion magic to lure space sailors and take their supplies?
I could also see space vampires that don't feed off of blood but instead iron? Like they drain your body of stardust and metal. Suddenly a crewmember is anemic? It's the lack of stardust in their system, they have to be sent to an iron-rich planet to recharge.

Okay ya'll I need an opinion on a Leviathan I made
just tell me if the description makes sense
A royal purple beast with yellow, owl-like eyes. It's smooth skin feels like rubber, and the curved head melts into the body like a squid. It also has tentacles that look like tattered ribbons. It's face resembles a fish like creature, with a gigantic mouth like a cave. It sounds like a ethereal wail. Able to swallow whole planets in one gulp, it wanders the universe looking for dying systems to devour

(Other then size, it sounds a lot like a purgill from Star Wars)
