First off, I love fantasy "record keeping" type novels, especially with fantastical creatures and body horror stuff, so I love the Piivara a lot. I do have a question though, if they stay in the same spot for a long time, why are they so rarely sighted? I mean, if they rarely move, wouldn't they be sort of like exciting attractions, where tons of people would come just to see them? Other than that, I think this is a practically perfect fantasy cryptid/creature

Thanks for the feedback! :D I also adore body horror and just had a ton of fun making these. To answer the question these creatures are SUPER rare. Like one "appears" every.. Say five years or so, and they only live a few months so its kinda hard to track them without modern technology being invented and only a few wizards being interested. But your absolutely right, so I'll probably put some kind of mentions of like, attractions popping up I could totally see someone shilling a few villages into paying for "protection" from a beast or some carnies stealing one for an act!
