A Hat In Time OTH AU Roleplay (OCs allowed, I think I have an obsession with these)

If you don't know what the OTH(Oh The Humanity) AU is, go look it up. Here's a link.

However, today we're adding a little twist. Instead of being wound back by a broken time piece, he's going to eat a poisoned soul that he didn't know was poisoned. Why? Because I'm playing the villain(s); a warriors-esque (because that's burned into my brain) group of rough patches who want territory.

We only need the canon characters of Hat Kid & Snatcher.

Name: Lavender
Age: 4 years (I don't know what that would be as a human)
Species: Rough Patch
Gender: Female
Personality: Intense survivalist and somewhat sadistic. She's also very cynical and impulsive, often not caring of the malcontentedness of others as long as something benefits her glaring. She's also a little combative and would fight god if she'd assume his role after taking him down.
Appearance: Long-legged and slim with that classic edgy hair and a torn ear.
Other (Optional): Leader of the wild rough patches and Hibiscus' sister.

Name: Hibiscus

Species: Rough Patch
Gender: Female
Personality: Empathetic, cheerful & cordial. She can sort of sense auras like they're mood rings. She's reckless with her amending endeavours and isn't afraid to risk her life for another's eventual happiness. Would solve world hunger if she could.
Appearance: Shorter, plumper and overall kinder looking than her sister. Has a much fluffier scruff and is without a fur tuft. Her ears are smaller and rounder than those of her sister and the stripes on them are very pale pink. Her tail is shorter and a lot fluffier than her sister's and the stripes on it are the same colour as those on her ears. Her eyes, which are round and kind, are the same pale pink as her stripes and have a few clustered dandelion yellow star-like spots in them.
Other (Optional): Healer of the wild rough patches and Lavender's sister.

Age: 3 years
Species: Rough Patch
Gender: Male
Personality: Apathetic and jaded (they may be synonyms, whatever). He takes up an actual interest in magic and shows just as much ambition for territory as Lavender. He is quite loyal to Lavender and dedicated to their mission. He can usually be described as diligent, quite competent and stubborn. He has antipathy towards Hibiscus, as they believe very different things in most situations.
Appearance: Very similar build to Lavender. His tail is scruffy at the end and he has ear tufts. He has narrow, serious-looking ruby red eyes with dark red bags (the scourge bags if you will) underneath them. The colour of his eyes matches the stripes on his ears and tail. He also has a scar on the bridge of his nose.
Other (Optional): Deputy to Lavender.

(I will play also Snatcher if no one else does and the rest of the glaring, which is a name for a group of cats, will remain NPCs.)

(Ok, so I'll play Snatcher, as well as my OCs, and you're playing Hat. You ready to start? I'll post a starter with a "prologue" consisting of the Rough Patches planning and an actual first action in the sort of pseudo-AU of Snatcher eating the soul if so.)

"We need territory," Lavender growled to Hawthorn, "this Subcon place looks quite large and empty, but we have this 'Snatcher' problem." Her claws were clearly unsheathed and a low growl settled in her throat. "There may be a way to get rid of him," Hawthorn said, as monotone as ever, "but we don't know if it will be effective." He watched as Lavender hopped up to a higher box, tearing the edge with her claws. "Of course," she snapped, "we know nothing."

Meanwhile, Hibiscus stood at the top of a tall building, facing the slight breeze. That was when a strong breeze, laced with ice, passed Hibiscus. Letting out a short gasp, she jumped down the building onto a box next to it. "Hawthorn," she addressed, "could you tell us your idea?"

Snatcher had had enough of Hat Kid constantly entering his forest despite having all her timepieces. "Listen, Kiddo," he growled, "I am not your friend. Get out of my forest!"

(I know I said he would eat the soul in the starter, but this felt more natural. Let's do this.)

Hat Kid shook her head. “Nope! You signed the contract and now you’re stuck with me,” she laughed as she swung from a branch. “Plus, where else am I supposed to hang out with a ghost?” she asked, smugly.

"Kid, that's not how contracts work," he tried reasoning with her, "just leave." Then he saw an oddly loose soul, just floating there. "I'm just gonna get that." Because Snatcher is Snatcher, he ate the soul.

Hat Kid couldn’t help but get a bad feeling about this. “Snatcher, wait-“ she tried to stop him, but unfortunately she couldn’t.

In only a few moments, it had happened and he was somehow alive again. Of course, he didn't notice yet.

Somewhere not too far away, Hibiscus watched from a veil of trees, barely visible in the night. Seeing their plan had worked, she slinked back and disappeared into the forest.

Hat Kid gasped, looking Snatcher over. “H-Holy peck…” she muttered as she moved closer to him.

"Scared of me now?" He still seemed to be unaware and overly cocky.

“Snatcher, buddy, this may come as a shock but…” she took a deep breath. “You may want to look at yourself,” she told him, trying to stay calm.

He looked down to see feet. "What?! How did this happen," he panicked, "I didn't even mess with your stuff!"

Meanwhile, Hibiscus (I almost wrote Hibisus, so I think that's accurate) bounced back to her glaring to tell them the news. She didn't bother to hide from the subconites and kind of just took the fastest path. After all, who would suspect a measly rough patch?

Hat Kid looked just as confused as Snatcher did. “I don’t know!” she glanced up at him, panicking as well. “I don’t know how to fix this either!”
