Cammy followed Alex, occasionally getting temporarily distracted by things, but always catching back up quickly. "Yeah, you got that sword. Duh."

@ElderGod-Carrots

“Aight, whatever you say.” He mumbled, stepping out into the hallway and the light again. He blinked, adjusting to the brightness.

@croccin-champagne

"Now you're getting it." She quipped, bumping into Alex as her eyes failed to make the switch to better vision in the light quick enough. That, and she'd been distracted by something shiny.

@ElderGod-Carrots

Alex chuckled softly, helping to steady Cammy before she fell over. Luckily for him, his eyes adjusted quickly enough and didn't see the shiny object that the blue paladin had been distracted by.

@croccin-champagne

Cammy latched onto Alex's arm as he helped steady her, releasing the limb once she was fairly certain she wasn't about to fall over. "Whoops. My bad. I saw this really cool cup-goblet-thingy and I wasn't looking where I was going."

@ElderGod-Carrots

"No need to apologise, you're fine." He replied, taking the tiniest step away to give her more room to breathe.

@croccin-champagne

Cammy stuck her leg out and spun, testing her balance now that it was restored. Once she seemed happy with it, she let her leg drop with a flourish, pointing down the hallway in one direction, then the other. "Let's get rockin'."

@ElderGod-Carrots

“Wanna race? The loser has to do a dare of the others choice.” Alex knew this was a bad idea but if he won that would be a plus.

@croccin-champagne

Despite knowing very well that she was incredibly likely to get lost again, Cammy grinned, nodding. "Fuck yeah." She chose a random direction, not bothering to give Alex any sort of heads up before shouting 'go!' and taking off. Chances were, he'd catch up without problem.

@ElderGod-Carrots

Alex actually let out a laugh, shaking his head in disbelief before he started rubbing to catch up. He would have commented about how the start was unfair but couldn’t be bothered.

@croccin-champagne

Cammy was laughing, something that probably wouldn't help her chances of winning, but she didn't care all that much. She was allowed to have fun. Take a left. She didn't turn until last-minute, sharply and suddenly, miraculously not colliding with the wall.

@ElderGod-Carrots

Alex on the other hand, did collide with the fall and he spit out a curse, followed by a laugh as he regained control of himself and he sped off again. Surprisingly to him, he was actually having fun.

@croccin-champagne

"Come on, slowpoke!" Cammy shouted teasingly, once she had managed to regain control over her laughter. The laughing didn't affect her running all that much, and she had to credit all the extra laps she'd been stuck running after mouthing off to teachers. And a bonus thanks to the love of my life, the swim team.

@ElderGod-Carrots

Alex shook his head, "I'm coming!" He sped up, pushing his legs faster so he could catch up with her. He was fairly good at running but wasn't the greatest in the world. He was just glad he had long legs.

@croccin-champagne

"That's what she said!" Another sharp turn, and another. A stretch of hallway and then another turn. Cammy's heart raced, and she was grinning ear-to-ear as they neared the bridge.

@ElderGod-Carrots

"That's a terrible joke!" Alex seemed to be gaining quickly now, right on Cammy's tail. He knew if he lost she'd never let her live it down so he tried harder.

@croccin-champagne

“And yet I’m still winning!” Canny shot back, laughing. He was close to overtaking her, sure, but since when had that stopped her.

@ElderGod-Carrots

Alex pushed harder and soon they were neck and neck, "Not for much longer." He replied, trying to gain that extra few centimeters so he could win.

@croccin-champagne

And that was when Cammy tripped. With the door to the bridge in sight, she managed to trip over her own feet, hitting the ground with a yelp-slash-habitual laugh, and definitely costing her the win.

@ElderGod-Carrots

Alex raced into the bridge with a tired laugh, stopping and resting his hands on his knees with a chuckle as he looked towards Cammy, “You right there?” He asked, not noticing the other paladins in the room.

@croccin-champagne

“Aw man! I was so close!” Cammy complained, rolling over onto her back just outside the doorway and ignoring the pain in her ankle from the fall. Hunk and Pidge shared a look of confusion, before looking back at Alex.

@ElderGod-Carrots

Alex walked over to Cammy and offered her his hand to help her up. If she didn't want to take it, fine, but it was there if she needed, "Maybe you can beat me next time."

@croccin-champagne

I never do. Cammy accepted the hand, but instead of letting him help her up, she caught him off guard, yanking him down onto the ground. “Guess we’ll see then.”

@ElderGod-Carrots

Alex landed on top of her, surprised. He braced his forearms next to her head and shook his own with a light laugh, “Stars, nice move.”

@croccin-champagne

“Growing up with brothers’ll do that.” Cammy said, shooting Alex a wink. It took a moment just to register the position she’d inadvertently put them in, her cheeks flushing slightly with a color she really hoped didn’t look like anything more than exhaustion from running. Just because, you know, this was slightly awkward. That was all.

@ElderGod-Carrots

Alex smirked back. He took a moment to catch his breath again, ignoring the weird feeling in his stomach before he finally moved off of Cammy and stood, brushing himself down with a small cough.

@croccin-champagne

Cammy kicked her legs back and then forward, using the momentum to pull herself up onto her feet in a surprisingly graceful move. Once standing, she made a face, twisting her leg and testing her ankle. That’s an unhappy ankle. Oh well. She knew better than to mention the terms of their race, hoping by some miracle that Alex might have spaced it for now.

@ElderGod-Carrots

Alex hadn't forgot the terms, but he wasn't going to mention it. He'd save the dare for when he really wanted to use it. He looked down at her ankle and his nose scrunched up a little, "That doesn't look good."

@croccin-champagne

“That’s so rude. I know my ankles aren’t my best feature, but damn, you don’t have to point that out.” Cammy said, faking offense fairly well and pretending that was why he was commenting on her ankle. She turned, stepping into the bridge, completely unaware of the Looks she and Alex were getting. Particularly from Pidge.

@ElderGod-Carrots

“That’s not what… I didn’t… forget it.” Alex waved a hand idly before he finally, looked to the group of people who were looking at them, turning a very slight shade of pink.
