"We won't have a tail for much longer," Alex muttered, swerving sharply to the left and towards a cliff face.
A Lilac Sky//Private rp//Stalkers welcome
Being the pest pilot at the Garrison better come in handy, hotshot. Cammy's eyes widened, and she tightened her hold on the unconscious pilot in her arms.
There were vague attempts to dissuade Alex from the other two passengers(mostly Hunk), but they were carried away by the wind. And just abstract yelling.
Alex didn’t care about the vague shouting he heard, only the cliff in front and the pursuit. The cliff drew closer and in an instant, they were flying down the side, wheels barely touching the ground until the last second where, after a minute of bumpy riding, they smoothed out.
Cammy's heart stopped for a moment, and then they hit the ground. The squad behind them pulled to a stop at the cliff-face, none of them quite willing to try that, even to get back Shiro. "Holy shit." She breathed, wishing desperately that they weren't on the run, just to go back and do it again.
Alex smirked, looking back up at the squad then back on the path ahead. A lucky shot, as he had never done that before but e was fucking glad it worked. It wasn't long after that, that they arrived at a small house in the middle of nowhere and Alex came to a stop, jumping off his bike and pulling his goggles to his neck, "You're welcome."
An excited babble in a mix of Spanish and English tumbled from Cammy's mouth as she got off, carefully supporting Shiro, despite the fact the that he was obviously weighing her down a bit.
"That was incredibly dangerous." Pidge said, fixing his glasses back on his nose, giving him the appearance of an owl. "We could have died. Nice flying, though."
Alex saluted to Pidge, rolling his eyes at Cammy's spew of words before going to help her support Shiro into his home, "Thanks, practice makes perfect." He shrugged a shoulder.
Hunk was still shaking and muttering nervously, earning him a sharp jab in the side from Pidge.
"Holy fuck." Cammy finished in English, practically buzzing. She looked and sounded like she was hopped up on caffeine, slightly reminiscent of the day she'd poured coffee on Alex, but with pink hair a bit less grump.
Again, Alex just rolled his eyes at Cammy, pushing open the door to his house with his foot. He led them through the small house and into a bedroom, placing Shiro down on top.
Cammy helped Alex get Shiro down onto the bed gently, before stepping back. She tugged a hand through her hair, looking around as she moved to lean against Hunk. "You've been living in the dessert."
Alex nodded, “Yeah, couldn’t be bothered going home, don’t have enough money to do so.” He shrugged, slipping a hand into his pocket before leaving the room and into the kitchen.
Cammy watched him go, making a face. She got that, probably more than he realized. Stars, she missed her siblings. She pushed off of Hunk, slipping out to follow Alex, Pidge right at her side. She veered off a bit, looking around. "Sparse. More like a hotel than a home."
“Touch photos or anything and I’ll kick you out.” Alex said as he poured himself a glass of water. Most photos on the house were of his sister and mother, who he missed to the point where it hurt. Photos of his cousin were there, too, none of his retched dad.
"Like I'd touch anything that belonged to you." Cammy shot back, studying the pictures curiously. After a moment, she pulled her own photograph from her pocket, leaning carefully against the counter back in the kitchen as she looked down at the faces of her siblings. "So what the hell happens now."
Alex shrugged, frowning down at the cup in his hands like it had offended him, “We wait till Shiro wakes up and go from there.”
"God, what was that thing." Cammy wrinkled her nose in distaste. "Some sort of UFO with a shitty color scheme? Makes you wonder what was on it. Or why they were here."
Alex ran his finger round the edge of the cup he was holding before draining the contents and putitng it in the sink, "They might be here for…" He muttered, "Have you guys experienced any weird frequencies or anything along those lines recently?" He asked, looking up.
Cammy looked to Pidge, who nodded. "I've been picking up the same repeated frequency. One word, over and over. Voltron." He said, digging around his bag and pulling out the piece of paper he'd shown Cammy and Hunk earlier.
"Voltron…" Alex took the paper and studied it carefully, "That ship, it might be here for whatever this Voltron is."
"Which means we have to find it first." Cammy said, folding her photo and tucking it back in the pocket of her varsity jacket.
"For leverage, or against them?" Pidge asked, raising an eyebrow.
"Both. If it's a weapon we can use it to blast them out of the sky, send a warning to any other aliens out there." Alex shrugged, running a hand though his hair.
"And what if there are friendly aliens?" Cammy countered, raising her own eyebrow. "I'm not saying these ones are, obviously, but what if there's more life out there than these purple-loving emo fucks?"
"We'd have to make contact, to see if they were or not. If they're hostile, we use whatever this Voltron is to attack, if it's a weapon, if they're docile, we don't. Easy."
Cammy shook her head, but bit her tongue."How do we find it, then? Wait for Shiro to wake up, see if he has any hints, or knows something? Or do we just…wait."
Again, Alex shrugged, "I say we wait for Shiro, see if he knows anything that could help us… if he doesn't wake soon we'll just have to go looking for Voltron without him."
"Let's play the waiting game." Cammy sang under her breath, slipping the flask from her back pocket and taking a drink. Bottoms up to aliens.
Alex grimaced a little, "I don't even want to know what the hell is in that flask but I'm guessing it's nothing good for you…" He shook his head a little with a sigh.
"Actually, wine has proven health benefits." Cammy countered, shaking the flask a little. She hadn't been able to get her hands on whiskey, so she'd settled with stealing a bottle of wine. Which was also in her bag. "Red wine's been shown to make your heart stronger, protecting against cancer and other heart-related diseases."
Alex rolled his eyes, crossing his arms with a sigh, “Still, it’s a miracle you didn’t get caught. Then again if you did I wouldn’t have to deal with your annoying ass but oh well.”
"If I had got caught, nobody woulda been there to tell you which hallway to go down." Cammy shot back, making direct eye contact with him as she took another drink.
