“Wha.. What's going on?” he asked weakly, confusion clear in his voice.

"I don't know entirely, but some people were trying to take you back to some lab…"

“Fuck me..” he cursed softly “ there trying to take me down for running away from the lab”

"I'm not going to let them take you. Who do they think they are, anyway? When was experimenting on innocent people acceptable?" He sighed.

“ it's never been..” he said softly and wrapped his wings around jay.

"Some people are stupid, thinking that running human experiments will do them any good…."

He sighed and nuzzled into jays neck

Jay sighed as he held the other close.

“ I'm good.. Right?” he asked

"I'm pretty sure you'll be okay…"

“ I meant like am I a good person..”’

"Oh, that. Yeah, of course you are." Jay was being honest.

Kyro sighed again and huddled closer to jay

"It's all okay now… I've got you…"

Kyro shook a bit, nodding to jays words

"It's all going to be okay…"

Hachi slumped forward, barely standing. “God…those guys are awful…”

“A..are you guys okay?”

“Mostly…they didn’t hurt me too bad,” Hachi sighed, trying to keep himself steady.

“ you look hurt “ he mumbled

“It’s other issues. Don’t worry about me…” Hachi smiled reassuringly, although his smile was a bit pained.

“ it's backlash isn't it.. “ he asked

Hachi sighed shakily. “Y-Yeah…but I’ll be okay…”

He squirmed out of jays hand and walked, more like stumbled, to hug hachi

Hachi laughed weakly and hugged Kyro back. “I-I told you…I’ll be okay…”

“ I know, just wanted to be sure..”

Hachi smiled weakly. “Thank you…”

“ you save my life, I'll save every one of your guys”

Hachi looked away as he hugged Kyro. “…I know…” he mumbled.

“ good.” he said and let hachi go
