Doctor Who o/o? Anybody?

“It’s. Complicated. I don’t have time to waste, talking to you. I’m trying to figure out what horrors will befall the earth again. First it was these horrible lava-worms, and now? I don’t know what it is but it better come quickly or I-“ the Doctor was cut off by a mysterious rumbling, and then a howling noise. Several howling noises.

The cafe was a side-of-the-road place, with very few people staying there. But once the few remaining patrons heard the noise, havoc was wreaked. People were scrambling to the door, but the Doctor did his best to block them.

“Everyone, whatever is out there is probably very dangerous, so stay calm. I don’t think it would be wise to investigate now.” he said.

“Good! Finally, a human who takes initiative! Lock all entrances to the place, and see if there’s anything we can use to block off the main doors, they don’t look sturdy.” the Doctor said, a sudden fire in his eyes. His… companion was right, he really did need this.

“Thank you! Now, quickly, before anyone dies, please introduce yourselves. I want to keep track.” the Doctor said. A woman raised her hand. “Ah, Nari’s the name. And who might you be, telling us all what to do?”

Three other patrons listed their names (Callie, Angus, and Jaws) before the Doctor answered the woman’s question. “Well, I’m the Doctor, you see.” he said simply, as a sort of non-answer.

A hand slapped the window. Bloodstains were left from whatever it had previously mauled, and you could practically hear the screams left over from the poor person who’d been murdered. You could even see the remains of the body outside.

“Our first corpse. Perfect, from here I can see… well, it’s pretty well-mauled.” the Doctor said. “This is good, we know how it kills.”

“You’re here for something. But what?” he said, pressing against the glass. “Something, something. It’s always something.”

“Something dangerous. But primitive, from the looks of it, not of this earth.” he said softly. “It won’t hurt us if we stay in here. It thinks it has us cornered, that we’ll just give in eventually.”

“Don’t give me that tone. Wasn’t there something saying respect your elders? After a few thousand years I’d expect that to come into effect, but no. Humans, with their insistence on acting like fools,” he griped. The Doctor ran through the cafe, looking around, when suddenly the lights went out.

(I love Kaite just. Not reacting at all to any of the weird shit the Doctor says lol.)

“Hey, listen. If we’re gonna be trapped here, at least let us try and call for help.” Jaws said as the Doctor went around, confiscating everyone’s phones. “That’s what I’m trying to do, call for help. Give me your phone, now.” the Doctor said to Kaite.

“I’m going to send a message to a friend of mine. I say friend. More like mortal enemy who wants me dead, but patayto patahto.” he shrugged, using his sonic screwdriver to zap the phones into working as he needed them to. “I’ve reversed the polarity of the neutron flow for all but your phone, Kaite. Now the others act like small cell towers. You’ll be in for a treat, now hold on to your ears, they might just blast of with the feedback I’ll be getting. Usually calling my ship isn’t so hard, but my mortal-frenemy made some modifications after the last infestation of sonic worms.”

(Kaite has like, no questions? None at all? Sorry if I sound weird but you’re being kinda passive, I’d like to see you get more active in the plot if that makes sense.)

The Doctor called, and waited for an answer. None came, but the phone was still ringing, so whoever the Doctor was calling was probably taking a while to answer.

“We are under attack from creatures not of this earth. And sonic worms, they travel the airways, they’re a real nuisance. There’s probably at least ten of them in your head now, they’re responsible for getting songs stuck in your head.” he explained.
