"Damn, I wouldn'ta guessed!" Zoe sat up a bit. "You're my first girl kiss. I was gunna be married off back in Battery City, and so I kissed him. He was a horrible kisser, by the way. "
"Gross!" She said jokingly, scrunching up her face and laughing. "They still do that back there?"

"Unfortunately." Zoe sighed. "I was 14, so I wasn't a legal adult. We were to be married the day after my 15th birthday. I ran off the day before my birthday. A 'gift to myself' as I'd say. Honestly, good riddance."
"Good fuckin' riddance." She said, laying on top of her.

"Honestly!" Zoe said in mock exasperation. "I mean, he was nice enough, but his family was shitty."
"Yikes." She said, looking up at her.

"You were born a killjoy, right?" Zoe asked, feeling bad for not remembering.
She nodded. "Yeah, why?"

"Just… be glad you never had to be in the city, okay? Because it's hell." Zoe shuddered at the thought of the city. "I can't believe… I can't believe I left Kaire. I need to get her at some point."
"Who was Kaire?" She asked, tilting her head. "I've heard you mention her, but…"

Zoe took a guilty breath. "My little sister. She's 11 now. I left her all
alone, Shee." Zoe started crying softly.
"Hey, hey!" She said, forcing herself up slightly. "Hey, don't cry, it's not your fault. That's why we're out here, Zoe. So they won't have to live like that anymore. Hey, hey…"

Zoe quietly sobbed. "I left- I can't let her- be alone there with- with mom and dad probably planning a- a wedding already! We- we have to save her eventually, Shee!"
She leaned up, running a hand through Zoe's hair. "I know, and we will. But we aren't in any position to do right now. Best thing we can do right now it bid out time until we can be sure we can get in an out safely, and support all three of us. But I promise we will get her eventually."

Zoe kelt crying into Shee's shoulder. "We have to. Soon. Fucking swear to me, okay?"
"I swear. I swear on everything from Joey Ramone to Party Poison to the fucking Phoenix Witch." She said gently.

"Okay, I trust you." Zoe stayed curled up in Shee's arms, trying to calm down.
She held her, humming softly in her ear.

Zoe sat up and took a deep breath. "Sorry, I didn't mean to lose my rag there. Let's listen ta Doc's show. I think another Fabulous Killjoys song is on!"
Check, check check. Party Poison's voice rang through. "DESTROYA!" Zoe cried.
Sheena grinned, laughed. "Hey, listen, it's fine- YES I LOVE THIS SONG!" She said, jumping up.

Zoe grabbed Shee's hands, turning into a spring. She started screaming lyrics out happily.
Sheena sang along as well, trying to keep more with the harmonies. "Destroya, destroya, we're all waitin' for ya!"
