He nodded. "Yeah." He replied simply.
"Okay," Phoenix said.
He looked around.
"Anyone?" Phoenix asked.
Corian climbed higher to get a better look.
"Well, anyone?" Phoenix asked.
Corian frowned. "I think…" He trailed off.
"What?" Phoenix asked.
"Hmm." He was silent for a moment. "I think there's someone coming this way."
"Okay," Phoenix said. "Get ready."
Corian nodded, staying in the tree.
The Careers got ready.
Corian was silent, watching.
"Let's do this," Phoenix said.
He nodded.
Then a tribute showed up.
He narrowed his eyes, watching the tribute warily.
Phoenix looked at the tribute.
He was silent.
"Well?" Phoenix said.
Corian waited.

Phoenix looked at the tribute.
The tribute hesitated. "I-I…uhm…" She stammered, brushing her hair back from her face.
Corian waited.
"Yes?" Phoenix asked.
The girl was obviously very young, and she looked around the group of careers fearfully, stammering.
"What?" Phoenix asked.
"S-sorry…" She backed away.
"It's okay. Did you want something?" Phoenix asked.
She shook her head. "Please don't hurt me…" She couldn't have been any older than thirteen.
