"I stole your heart so now I'm satisfied. I don't need to steal your life anymore."

Shuichi looked away from Kokichi as he asked that. Why did he choose that phrasing? Did he have a hobby of flustering and teasing him? It would have made a lot of sense, but still, it didn't make much sense for him to do that so suddenly. He wished that he would just stop, but it also seemed to be a game to the thief.

"I-I…! N-not…not in…th-that way… Y-you can…sleep in here…a-and i-if it's alright…we can cuddle…b-but…n-nothing else…!"

(I only went with this because I feel like Kokichi was trying to tease him)

Kokichi laughed softly, " cuddling sounds nice"

Shuichi seemed embarrassed by the entire interaction as he sat down on his bed. His face was incredibly red by that point, and he was blushing a fair bit. He wished that a lot of things could have gone differently, but at least he was in a good mood aside from heavily embarrassed. Kokichi was certainly good at teasing him.

"Al-alright…" he responded softly. "Th-that's fine…"

Kokichi slid his bloody jacket off, laying down on the bed and yawning

Shuichi looked down at Kokichi after a moment, although he immediately looked away since he was still blushing a lot. The thief really had a talent for teasing him and making him incredibly flustered. Even though he was easily embarrassed, it was still impressive how he managed to do it as much as he did.

"S-so…um…" he began, but he trailed off. He wanted to start a conversation, but he didn't know what to say.

" come on detective!"

Shuichi hesitated for a moment, but he eventually laid down next to Kokichi. While he was the one who suggested that they cuddled, he was still pretty embarrassed about it. Either way, he wanted some form of attention that night for some reason, so he was sure that he would get used to it.

Kokichi hesitantly wrapped his arm around the other, pulling his back into his chest

Shuichi seemed to be a bit surprised when Kokichi was hesitant about wrapping his arms around him since he was teasing him so much only a few moments ago, but he ended up enjoying the cuddles either way. They seemed to make him pretty comfortable. Maybe they would help him sleep as well. He hoped so since he did have work the next morning. He couldn't afford to constantly go nights without getting any sleep, that was for sure.

As they cuddled, the detective was silent. He was still rather embarrassed, and even if he wasn't, he wouldn't have known what to say. He wasn't the best when it came to talking to others, but he tried his best, which was what mattered in most situations. As for that one, he just hoped that he would be able to fall asleep at some point.

Kokichi started to snor softly, his grip lessening

Shuichi didn't seem to mind that, and he occasionally looked at Kokichi as the night went on. Somehow, he found himself unable to sleep yet again. It was a fairly common issue, possibly due to the fact that he had been working a lot more recently, so he tended to be up late doing things. Of course, when it came to the current situation, it was far from a good thing, but since it was going to be yet another sleepless night, he eventually got up to do a couple of things, as much as he enjoyed the cuddles.

By the time that morning came, he was in the kitchen making some breakfast for Kokichi. At least if he woke up while he was doing that, he wouldn't automatically assume that he had gone without sleeping that night. He was just going to make breakfast and head off to work without actually eating anything himself. He lost track of time while reading a book, so he would run late if he actually ate anything, but he wanted Kokichi to eat, so he decided to make something. He wondered if the other would wake up before he left.

Kokichi did infact, worried about being late to meet up with his partner. He ran out,grabbing his mask and jacket. "Hai beautiful, gotta go," he said, kissing Shuichi quickly before booking it out the balcony door

Shuichi was surprised by the kiss, that was for sure. After eventually regaining his composure, he realized that he ended up burning the food due to being distracted, but the person who he intended on giving it to left anyway, so it's not like there was much use for it. Once he finished cleaning up, he left to go to work, not even questioning the fact that Kokichi suddenly left.

Once Kokichi met up with his partner, he was simply glanced at. It seemed that the other had quickly noticed the blood on Kokichi's jacket, and he questioned how it got there. He knew that his partner could be chaotic, but he never would have expected him to get into a fight with someone. He wondered what happened.

"Alright, what happened?" he asked. "Your jacket has blood on it. Who'd you get into a fight with?"

" huh? Oh- I tripped and got a nosebleed," he said to rantaro

Rantaro sighed softly as he shook his head. He seemed to know that Kokichi was lying about the situation, especially since his cloak was missing. It did imply that he had likely gotten involved with someone else for part of his outfit to completely go missing like that. Besides, he had been Kokichi's friend since they were kids. He could easily tell when the other was lying.

"That's a lie," he responded. "And your cloak's missing, too. What actually happened last night?"

Kokichi sighed, " I fell in love with a damn detective "

Rantaro giggled softly. There was something funny about the scenario to him, although he wasn't sure what that actually was. He did wonder how Kokichi fell in love with some detective, though, as well as how that played into the blood on his jacket. So far, he still didn't have an answer.

"Alright, but how did falling in love with said detective lead to your cloak being missing and the blood on your jacket?" he asked softly. "What's he got to do with it? Does he have your cloak?"

" he ran I to a door and blooded his nose. And yes, he has my cloak. I think he was sleeping in it.."

Rantaro nodded in response to the statement. He seemed to know that Kokichi was finally being honest about things, which was a good thing. He did wonder why the detective that Kokichi met was sleeping in his cloak, but he wasn't sure if Kokichi even had an answer for that.

"Ah. So, he ran into a door, then? I'm guessing you tried to stop the bleeding since you have blood on your jacket. As long as he's alright now, it's not an issue," he responded. "Also, he was sleeping in your cloak? Why do you think that? Do you know why he'd do that?"

"other then it's comfortable. Im not sure. " He said softly

Rantaro nodded in response again. It was certainly an interesting thing to think about how the detective that Kokichi had encountered the previous day ended up sleeping in his cloak. There was no real reason why he would do that, so it remained a mystery. All he really knew is that the detective must have enjoyed the cloak.

"That's strange, in all honesty," he responded softly. "I wonder why he would sleep in your cloak. Was he still in it this morning?"

"no, but he was also late for work so I assume he was still getting ready. Maybe he'll wear it at work. It is cold today

Rantaro shrugged at the response, although it didn't make much sense why the detective would wear his cloak. That would only imply that he had encountered Kokichi, and having his cloak but not him would certainly be interesting. Either way, it seemed likely that the detective seemed to like him, or at least the cloak.

"Oh, alright," he responded softly. "I doubt he'd wear it to work, though. It's cold, but I doubt he'd wear it to work when he was supposed to catch you, not just take your cloak and let you get away."

Rantaro nodded in response since the explanation made sense, but he still didn't see much of a reason for the detective to wear Kokichi's cloak to work, even if it was pretty cold outside that day. The mention made him wonder if Kokichi happened to know what he was wearing. His prior statements had implied that he was at his house that morning, so that would make sense.

"Still, I don't see a reason, even with it being cold," he responded. "You must've been at his house, but you should know that he was likely wearing something appropriate for the weather due to that. You said that you're in love, but still, it's strange to see you care so much."

Kokichi looked at Rantaro and winked " you'll find it someday," he said before going to go do a crime

Rantaro sighed softly as he watched Kokichi leave. Then he went off to commit a crime of his own. At the end of the day, he was still working with Kokichi as a thief, although he had no idea how he got interested in his friend's hobbies. Either way, he seemed to be okay with it, but he seriously did wonder about what was going on between Kokichi and that detective that he was in love with.

Kokichi waited around his crime for Shuichi to show, he was waiting to see what he was wearing

Shuichi arrived at the scene of the crime almost as soon as he heard about it. It appeared that he didn't have Kokichi's cloak with him at the time, although it was mostly due to the fact that he was running late. During the night, he had taken it off, and he didn't find the time to put it back on before rushing to work that morning. He had barely stopped himself from being late, after all. Even so, he found it strange that Kokichi was just waiting at the scene for him.
