Shuichi sighed softly. While Kaito's statement was correct, there was more than Kokichi than just the crimes that he had committed, mostly his personality, the proof that he wasn't as horrible of a person as someone would originally think. He was actually rather nice, all things considered.
"Yes, but…I care about him, alright…?" he responded. "He's a good person…despite all of the theft… Really, he is…! He's been with me since last night…and he does care a lot about me…"
“You shouldn't he's a heathen and it's all hell ever be!”
Shuichi sighed softly as he shook his head at the comment. He couldn't help but growl at Kaito as he heard him being so rude towards Kokichi. Whether he was a thief or not, he was a good person at heart, so there was no reason to hate him like that.
"No…! He's a good person…!" he argued. "Now leave him alone, Kaito…!"
“No! He's not good for you shuichi!” he said
Shuichi growled at Kaito again. While he wasn't angry with him over everything that happened, he was angry with him now over how poorly he was treating Kokichi, someone that he cared deeply about despite barely knowing him. He wasn't going to tolerate the hostility towards the thief.
"He's not a bad person!" he yelled. "Now leave him alone, Kaito!"
“That's where you mess up shuichi! He's killed people and you know it!? Who's to say your not his next victim”
Despite the pain that it caused as he did so, in a moment of anger, Shuichi got up and approached Kaito, putting his face close to the other's as he gave him yet another growl. It seemed like he was getting rather protective over Kokichi. All of Kaito's comments were annoying him.
"Kaito! Stop! He's not a bad person!" he argued. "I think you're just jealous of him! And about tonight's events, did you really want to shoot Kokichi, or did you see his cloak on me, which I told you that I had, and decide to shoot in a jealous rage assuming that my heart belonged to the phantom thief you claim you were trying to pursue…?!"
“How dare you say that shuichi!” kaito said, shoving Shuichi
In a flash kokchi had punched kaito, feeling his knuckle crack. “Fuck me!” kokichi yelled
Rantaro sighed as he watched the three fight each other. Whatever was going on was certainly interesting. Despite what had happened, Shuichi had little hesitation when he got back up and tried to help Kokichi fight Kaito. Rantaro would need to separate the three before things got much worse.
Being quick to act, he placed Shuichi back on the bed before pulling Kaito and Kokichi away from each other. He would need to make sure that none of them had been seriously injured, but they had definitely sustained injuries in the fight. Due to Kokichi's punch, Kaito's nose was heavily bleeding, possibly broken, and while he wasn't sure what Kokichi had done to himself in the process, he knew that he was in pain. As for Shuichi, he wasn't too sure, but he hoped that nothing happened to him.
"All three of you, wait here…and don't try to kill each other…" he sighed softly. "I'm gonna get a doctor so they can make sure none of you seriously hurt each other…or yourselves…"
After he spoke, he sighed softly and left the room. He was worried that the three would start fighting each other again, but he needed to make sure that none of them were horribly injured, that nothing needed to be treated, so he did need to get a doctor. All he could hope for was that none of them tried killing each other while he was gone.
Kokichi growled at kaito “don't you ever put your hands on shuichi again pig!”
Kaito growled at Kokichi again. He seemed to be pretty annoyed with the thief for even getting close to his best friend and supposed love interest, but it seemed like the reason was further rooted in jealousy than anything else. It was certainly strange.
"He accused me of purposely shooting him and then lunged at me!" he argued. "What did you expect me to do..?!"
Shuichi sighed softly. "I-I apologize…b-but…don't…don't insult Kokichi…or fight him…"
“You were supposed to be a man and back down! “
Kokichi looked over to shuichi “ you need to lay down love,”
Kaito growled at Kokichi again, but he didn't attack. He really wanted to, but he knew that he would be stopped pretty quickly if he made any sort of attempt. All he could do was glare at Kokichi as he called Shuichi "love" for some reason. They weren't dating, so it was a bit out of nowhere, at least to him.
Shuichi nodded in response to Kokichi's comment before he laid down. He knew that he shouldn't have gotten up to begin with, but he had momentarily snapped due to everything that was going on. He just hoped that he would end up getting better with a bit of time.
"I know…" he responded. "I'm sorry for getting involved in this…"
“It's not your fault shu..” he said softly
Shuichi sighed softly at the response that he was given. He knew that it wasn't exactly his fault, but he felt bad for getting involved in a fight when he had only woken up after being shot a bit earlier that day. He wasn't sure if he was even alright anymore, either.
"I know…but I feel bad…"
“Please, don't from bad..”
Shuichi sighed softly again. He wasn't sure how he was going to stop feeling bad about everything since he could have prevented himself from potentially making his injuries worse if he just didn't get involved in the fight. However, he pushed it aside for the time being.
"Alright. Maybe it's okay."
“Do you want me to lay with you?”
Shuichi nodded in response after a moment of consideration. Maybe Kokichi laying next to him would be able to keep him calm, so he decided that he wanted it, as long it wouldn't start another argument. He just wanted some comfort after everything.
Kokichi nodded and lay down with shuichi, cuddling into him
Shuichi seemed to relax a bit when Kokichi cuddled into him, which was a good thing. Now things would hopefully be calm until Rantaro returned since Kaito seemed to know that continuing to fight when people could walk in at any time wasn't a good idea.
Kokichi sighed softly, “how are you feeling?” he asked quietly
Shuichi looked up at Kokichi and sighed softly at the question. He was definitely in pain, although he had expected that in the given circumstances, and it certainly didn't help that he had gotten involved in a fight, either. Aside from the pain, however, he didn't think that anything was wrong.
"Aside from being in pain, I feel fine, really," he responded softly. "There's no need to worry about me."
“There is every need to worry, “ he remarked and kissed shuichis forehead
Shuichi couldn't help but blush a little bit when Kokichi kissed his forehead, but he didn't mind the interaction. It made him happy, and he felt a lot more comfortable with him around, so it all worked out. He just looked at Kokichi until Rantaro finally came back into the room.
Kokichi didn't look up when rantaro came in, he just kept holding shuichi
Rantaro sighed softly as he looked at the three in the room. He was glad that they had stopped fighting and that Shuichi was back in bed, but he was pretty worried about everyone because of the fight. He was relieved that no one tried to kill one of the others while he was gone, though.
"So…how's everyone doing?" he asked softly.
As you would expect” kokichi said, glaring at kaito
Rantaro sighed softly as he nodded in response to the comment. He could tell that Kokichi was pretty angry with Kaito over everything, and he honestly couldn't blame him for it. He did start a fight with both him and Shuichi, which wasn't a good thing.
"I figured," he responded. "Do you guys think you'll be alright?"
“I think my fingers broken but that's it.”
