(Quinn and Scarlett share a room? I really don't know yet. This is after they get adopted by the Rowena's, which is why we're starting in the night. I can change it if you want. Also, sorry for the wait.)
It was late at night when Quinn woke up, shaking and sweating. She looked around the room and spotted Scarlett sleeping on her bed. She let a sigh of relief. "She's not here," She whispered under her breath. "Magica can't hurt you. You're safe." She put her legs to her chest and looked up at the ceiling. For now.. A voice said in her head. She shivered and stood up, quietly exiting the room, hoping to not wake up her sister.
(It’s okay)
Lily was still asleep in her own room. Her door was cracked a little open but that was nothing to be concerned about. Lily always did that. Lilith and Alex were in their room asleep as well. Their door was locked, unlike the other door.

(Very much so. I'm going to be off and on, since I'm in school.)
Quinn sighed as she left the door to their room open, and made her way to the kitchen. Ever since Lily and her family adopted her and her sister, she had been getting terrible nightmares. "Are they even nightmares?" She asked herself as she fumbled around and reached for a cup. "Maybe I should tell them about this…."
They're not going to believe you, Quinn. And you know that.
"Would you shut up? I'm trying to think!" She yelled at the familiar voice in her head, but then immediately covered her mouth. She put the cup on the table and made her way to the entrance of the hallway. "I hope I didn't wake anyone up…" She whispered.
(oof okay)
Lily stirred in her sleep but didn’t wake. She definitely wasn’t a light sleeper which had its pros and cons. However, the light in Lilith and Alex’s room turned on as Lilith could be heard getting out of bed. “Was that Quinn?” her voice could be heard along with her husband’s. “What is she doing up?”
language
She froze when she saw the light of her parent's room turn on. She didn't know if she should run back to her room, or walk backward into the kitchen.
See what you caused? She scolded the voice inside her head.
This isn't my fault. The voice responded, sounding sarcastic.
She growled as she decided to run back to her room, tripping over something on the ground, and then picking herself up as the door opened from Lilith's and Alex's room. "Please don't see me. Please don't see me." She pleaded as she quietly started walking.
Lilith opened the door and looked around, just barely missing Quinn. She sighed and went back into the room, closing the door behind her. “I didn’t see her…” Lilith told Alex as she got back into bed. After a couple minutes, the light was turned off.

As she closed the door to her room, Scarlett woke up. "Quinn…is that you?" The 11-year-old said. Quinn sat down on Scarlett's bed and stroke her hair. "Yeah, everything alright?" The young duck nodded her head as she looked at Quinn. "I…just thought I heard you scream…" She paused. "I guess I was wrong." Quinn frowned and hummed a calm tune, making her sister go to sleep. When she tried to get up, Scarlett had clutched her shirt, and she smiled down at her sister. She laid down right next to her and quickly fell asleep.
The next morning, the smell of pancakes filled the air as Lilith and Alex were making breakfast. Lily came out of her room, rubbing her eyes and she knocked on her sisters’ door. “Quinn, Scarlett, Mom and Dad are making breakfast!” she called out to them before heading to the kitchen.
language
Quinn groaned as she got out of her sisters bed. She was able to sleep peacefully for at least an hour, but then the nightmares started once again. She gently shook her sister who was still sleeping. “Wake up, Scarlett. Mom and Dad are making pancakes. Scarlett’s eyes immediately open at the word pancakes, and jumped out of bed. “Come on, I don’t want Lily to eat all of them!” She said as she grabbed her sister’s hand and started dragging her to the kitchen. When they arrived, Scarlett happily sat down on a chair, and so did Quinn. “Morning!” Scarlett said. She looked over at Quinn who sighed and said good morning under her breath.
Lilith smiled at them. “Morning, girls!” she handed them their plates, which each had a stack on pancakes on them. “How did you two sleep?” she asked, sitting in one of the chairs. Lily, meanwhile, was eating as Alex continued cooking.

Quinn smiled at Lilith and looked at the stack of pancakes in front of her. She took a knife and forks and cut them into small pieces. She covered them with syrup and stabbed one with her fork. Scarlett immediately started golfing down her pancakes. "These are so good!" She exclaimed. "I slept well," She quickly said as she stuffed another piece of pancake into her mouth. Quinn moved the stabbed pancake around for a bit before eating it. "Good, I guess."
“I guess?” Lilith tilted her head a little. “You sure?” she asked as Alex finished up. Lily continued eating but was now looking up at her sisters.
language
She looked up at Lilith annoyed, as she nodded her head before drinking some milk. "Perfectly fine. It was just peachy." She looked down at her plate of pancakes and stabbed another pancake and after a minute of playing around with it, she finally ate it. Scarlett sighed as she put down her fork. "Seems like Quinny is in a bad mood," She mumbled under her breath, which was awarded with a cold glare from Quinn.
Lilith sighed. She understood that Quinn must’ve not slept well but she wasn’t sure if she should push it. She stood up and grabbed her keys. “I have to go to work…try to have a good day, okay? Love you!” Lilith smiled a little before leaving. Lily looked between her sisters.
language
"Mhm, yeah whatever," Quinn mumbled under her breath. She still had to get used to the affection she got from anyone that wasn't Scarlett. Scarlett and Quinn finished their pancakes, and then looked at Lily. Scarlett smiled at her new sister, while Quinn frowned at her. After a couple of seconds, she said, "What are you looking at?"
“Are you sure you’re okay?” Lily asked, setting her fork down. “You seem grumpy….” she trailed off as Alex started cleaning up.
language
"Of course I'm fine," Quinn responded. Scarlett tilted her head to her sister and frowned a bit. "Are you sure? It's been a while since you've been grumpy, and I know that this won't lead to anything good." Quinn growled a bit as she stood up. "I'm fine, okay! Jeez, why is everyone so insistent in saying I'm not?"
Lily put her hands up in defense as Alex turned to face the sisters. Neither of them knew what to say and it hurt. “S-Sorry…” Lily muttered, looking away.
language
Quinn let out a long sigh and rubbed her eyes. She knew what she did was wrong and that she should apologize to her sisters, but she didn't. Instead, she left the kitchen and went back to her room. At the moment, she didn't want to see anyone, and the further she was away from them, the better. Scarlett sighed sadly as she looked at Lily. "She'll be fine, I promise all of you. Just give her some time."
Lily nodded slowly. “I hope so…” she sighed as she picked her fork back up. She started to eat again and Alex went back to cleaning. Alex was silent. He planned on checking on Quinn later but he decided against it. She did need time…
language
She sighed as she laid down on the bed and closed her eyes. "I might as well take a little nap. To make up for not sleeping much last night." She said sleepily. It wasn't long enough before she fell asleep and her Magica-infested nightmares started once again. From the first night, she knew it was Magica, and not someone she had created. The voice was so painfully clear. And once in a while, she swore she could see her in her dreams.
Scarlett quietly stayed at the table, waiting for Lily to finish her breakfast. She wanted to spend some time with her sister. Actually, she wanted the three of them to spend some time together since lately, Quinn had been in her own little world. She knew Lily hadn't noticed, which made total sense to her, seeing as she was the one who grew up with Quinn years ago, and knew her more than any other person.
Once Lily finished, she stood up. “This was great, Dad…thanks…” she smiled sadly before leading Scarlett out of the kitchen. Alex nodded, smiling. “No problem, just make sure to check on Quinn soon…” he told them. Lily nodded as she continued walking. “We will!”
language
"So what now?" Scarlett asked her. "Should we try to cheer up Quinn?" Despite Scarlett saying that Quinn needed time, and to leave her alone, Scarlett rarely ever took her own advice seriously. So, she was eager to bring Quinn out of her grumpy mood before it worsened. "I'm really worried about her and I just don't want to leave her like that."
Lily looked at Scarlett. “Of course! She’s family!” she smiled softly, leading Scarlett to the room Quinn was in. She took a deep breath before knocking on the door. “Quinn? It’s Lily…can we come in?”
language
Quinn didn't respond. She was too busy fighting the demon that had plagued her dreams. The girl was sort of a heavy sleeper. Sometimes, she wasn't. It was really weird to both Quinn and Scarlett. Scarlett gently tapped her feet on the ground, waiting for a response. When they didn't get any, she sighed and put her head against the door. "Quinn, open up the door….please," Scarlett begged. Again, nothing. Frustrated, she opened the door to their bedroom, finding Quinn asleep, mumbling the words "I'm not like you".
