I'll put up a sheet for my Hufflepuff boy later.
Name: Cassiopeia Lily Knight
Nicknames: Cass, Cassie, Pia (by her Dad)
Age: 13
Gender/Pronouns: Female, She/Her
Blood Status: Half-Blood
Hogwarts House: Gryffindor
Year: 3rd
Pet (optional): Cass has a female black owl, that she has named Midnight. It probably has to do with the fact that her owl seems to spend more time out at night, than in the morning.
Appearance:Cassiopeia has a bit of a pale skin tone. Not that it's too weird, because her father has pale skin. She has shoulder-length red hair that's almost always down, dark green eyes, and freckles that are scattered around her face. She almost always has this mischievous smile that makes other people think she's planning to do something big when most of the time she's really just thinking. She's just about four feet and eight inches tall. Not exactly special, but she is taller than some of the girls in her year. When she’s not in her uniform, she wears casual muggle clothing. Which is usually a dark grey sleeved shirt, a black or green hoodie, black jeans, with green or grey sneakers.
Personality: Cassiopeia is fiercely loyal to those who she cares about, and will do almost anything to protect them. She has also proved to be extremely brave when she managed to save her best friend from a Wyvern while trying to fend it off. Though fiercely loyal, she's extremely cunning and resourceful, and really wouldn't mind manipulating your emotions to get what she wants. IF she doesn't know you. She'd never do that to her friends and family. Unless it's absolutely necessary. She can be a bit egotistical at times, thinking about only herself, and it's at times like these where she puts others in danger. Either if it's intentional or not. She has this thing where on the outside she looks like she doesn't give a shit about you (which might be the case if you aren't her friend) but she really does care. Don't let that fool you. She can be….intense, and most certainly intimidating, and has a tendency of rolling her eyes at every stupid thing she sees or hears.
Likes: Potions and Transfiguration (Those two are her specialty), Defense Against the Dark Arts, Quidditch (She's the Keeper for the Gryffindor team), spending time with Midnight, snakes, reading, writing letters to her family, reading about myths and legends that surround the Wizarding World, and she has a strong liking for bears.
Dislikes: The Marauders, James Potter, the fact that she was sorted into Gryffindor, and funnily enough, she hates Knights. Knights who work with Queens and Kings. Not her surname, or family. There's just something about them that makes her not like them. She's afraid of drowning. She almost drowned in a…river (?) once. This was caused by her recklessness, when she thought she could paddle a canoe through some waterfalls, right after a four-day storm.
Background: Cassiopeia lives in a small cottage with her father and grandmother. Both of who have been placed in Slytherin (and unknown to her, her mother was also a witch that attended Hogwarts, and was sorted into Hufflepuff). She had always heard tales about their time at Hogwarts from a young age, fueling her desire to be able to attend Hogwarts even more. From what she knows, her grandmother is a pureblood, her father is a half-blood and her mother is a muggle-born. She finds it confusing and doesn't understand why blood status even matters. Though she lives in a "small" cottage, the inside is actually big. She has no idea if it has something to do with magic though. The cottage is located somewhere in a glen in Scotland. Its exact location is unknown, seeing as it's hidden from view and while Cass thinks that neither witches, wizards, or muggles can't find it without knowing the exact location, that is simply not true. While there isn't anything that prevents people from finding and/or entering the glen, it does prevent Dark Wizards from entering. The glen is seen as a place to heal the soul, and mind, while also being peaceful. If you don't disturb the magical creatures, that is. According to her father, their cottage isn't far from Hogwarts itself. She's lived a pretty normal life and has taken notes of the almost extinct magical creatures that reside in the same glen she lives in.
Other: Her mother was murdered right in front of her very own eyes, when she was five, as a warning to the Knights. Because of this, she can see Thestrals. She didn't know this until she arrived at Hogwarts and saw one of them in the Forbidden Forest. The murder of Jupiter Knight prompted the Knights to find somewhere else to live. Cassiopeia's grandmother, Alexandra, told them that they were always welcome at her home, which is where they later moved to. (Also this isn't really relevant yet, but she does become an Animagus at the age of 14, and her Animagus form is a Grim Wolf. Professor McGonagall is actually surprised at this because Cass is one of the few people to have become an Animagus at 14)
