Rantaro sighed softly. It was strange enough that Maki would even do something like that, but to take it so literally was even more confusing. Was she looking for a reason to commit murder or something like that? She was an assassin, so there wasn't really a need to, at least in Rantaro's mind.

"That's…strange…" he said after a moment. "However, she needs to stop! I'm not letting her kill my best friend! Clearly whatever deal she made with you didn't go through because the threats are still occurring! She's trying to ruin it all for some reason! We need to stop her."

“I understand but I don't think Kokich will understand in the state he's in. And he's let you touch him, which is something big because he doesn't like people's touch. I think.. He may be into you..”

Rantaro nodded in response to the first comment. It was rather clear that Kokichi wouldn't understand in his current state, but they could always wait to explain the entire mess. Besides, they needed to stop Maki first. If they didn't do that, then no one would be safe.

"Well, we need to stop Maki first, as if we don't, she'll target both of you," he stated. "As for the other thing, huh, what a coincidence. If he wasn't drunk as hell, I had plans of asking him out today. Seriously, I did, but not the point. We need to stop Maki."

“Maybe we should sort this out first, as maki is out on a trip”

Rantaro thought about the comment and nodded in response once he heard that Maki was on a trip. He figured that she must have left during the night or that morning, though, as apparently the death threats that Kokichi got were given as recently as the previous night. Seeing as he was as upset as he was, the events that broke him had to have occurred during the previous night.

"Oh. Strange," he sighed. "Anyways, we can work things out here, although I'm not entirely sure how well things will go at the moment. I'm sure that we'll figure it all out, though."

Kaito nodded, leading the other back inside

Rantaro followed Kaito back inside, and to his relief, Kokichi was still asleep. Given everything that was going on, all that he could have asked for was that the other got some sleep for once. Luckily, that seemed to be the case. While there was still a lot that needed to be fixed, it did seem like everything was going to get better with time.

Kaito quickly went to cuddle with kokichi, leaving open the possibility of him joining

Rantaro thought about it for a moment, but he eventually decided to join in on the cuddling. For some reason, he just felt compelled to cuddle with both of them. He knew that he had liked Kokichi for quite a while, as it had taken him over a month to decide to confess since the other had never come out, even to him, but he wondered why he felt that way about Kaito, as well. No matter the reason, he was enjoying the cuddles.

Kaito wrapped his arm around both the boys, feeling kokichi roll over and snuggle into rantaro

Rantaro smiled softly as Kokichi snuggled into him, although he seemed to be happy with both of the others. He had never considered being with two people, although he was definitely enjoying the cuddles with both of them, and the more that he thought about it, the more that he realized that he liked both of them a lot.

"You know, I'm enjoying this," he whispered softly. He wasn't going to admit that he loved them at the time, but he would admit that he was enjoying the cuddles.

Kaito chuckled “kokichi gets clingy, so you'll get them a lot more” he whispered

Kokichi scoffed “I am not..” he slurred

Rantaro chuckled softly at the response. He wondered about how long Kokichi had been awake. How much of that conversation did he overhear? He seemed to know that someone else was there, although it was unclear if he was aware if it was Kaito or not. If he knew that, Rantaro noted that he was rather comfortable with him being there despite not knowing why he had to cheat, only knowing that he did.

"I mean, you are, if I've learned anything from today, but whatever you say, Kichi," he teased. "Eh, it just means more cuddles, so it's nice."

Kokichi gave a soft whine, nestling into rantaro “nuu.”

Kaito sighed, pressing a kiss to kokichis temple, but the smallest quickly pushed him away “ just because I let you lay with me doesn't mean you can kiss me Kai..”

Rantaro gave Kokichi another soft chuckle, but then he sighed. Obviously the two needed to explain the situation to him, but he was unsure how much information the other would be able to take in at the time. He noted that Kokichi was comfortable with Kaito laying with him, but that was about it. It was strange that he was comfortable with the other at all, but it meant that maybe things wouldn't be super difficult to work through in the future.

"Speaking of all of this, there's a lot of explaining for us to do later," he stated. "I did figure everything out, though, so no need to worry there."

“He still cheated,” kokichi said sourly

Rantaro sighed softly. While that was technically the case, there was a rather interesting reason for it, and it definitely proved that he wouldn't cheat willingly. He just hoped that Kokichi would understand since he wanted to clear everything up as soon as possible. He just wanted the others to be happy.

"Well, technically, but let me explain," he said softly. "You see, Kaito didn't want to cheat on you with Maki. Basically, Maki threatened to go through with her death threats if he didn't. He did it to protect you. Also, yes, Maki is the one who was sending the notes. Anyways, your boyfriend never meant it. He just didn't want you to die. As crazy as it sounds, I can confirm that it's all the truth."

Kokichis eyes widened “Kai- I- am sorry..” he whispered
Kai held his hand up and sighed “you had every right to be upset..”

Rantaro sighed as he watched the two interact. It still hurt him to think that this was even a conversation that the two needed to have. Neither of them deserved what was happening in their lives, but he was going to stop Maki soon enough. He cared about the other two, so he would do anything if it meant that they were safe.

"Yeah, Kichi, you did have a reason to be upset," he responded. "However, Maki's not here, so she doesn't know. When she returns, I'm putting an end to this. You two can be happy together, if the love is still there. You two are cute together."

Taro.. I.. I don't want it to be just me and kaito..” he whispered, looking at kaito and then at rantaro

Rantaro was both surprised and relieved by the comment. He definitely wanted a relationship between the three of them, but he wasn't expecting Kokichi to want the same thing. Of course, the realization that he did made him rather happy. In the end, it seemed like everything did end up working out.

"As long as Kaito's alright with it, I love you both, so I was kinda hoping that it could be the three of us," he smiled softly as he glanced at Kaito. "So, what do you say?"

“I think it would be fine” kaito said softly

Rantaro smiled at the comment as he held both Kokichi and Kaito close to him. While he didn't expect the day to result in him having two boyfriends, he couldn't have been happier with that outcome. Having not one but two wonderful boyfriends made him incredibly happy. While he would still need to protect them from Maki, he didn't mind. He would do anything to see them happy.

"Perfect," he said softly. "That's perfect. I love you two so much."

Kokichi sighed and nestled into Kai.
The other held kokichi closely “I love you, both of you..”

Rantaro gave the two another soft smile as he watched them interact. They were getting along and cuddling, and it was all great. It felt like everything was going to be okay, or at least until Maki got back from her trip. In that time, surely they could cuddle and enjoy each other's company. They all loved each other a lot.

"I just said it, but I love both of you, too," he responded, continuing to smile softly. "Also, you two are adorable."

Kokichi flushed before hiding his face “guys! I'm not cute! I'm chaotic!”

Rantaro laughed softly as he shook his head. While Kokichi was definitely chaotic, he found the other to be adorable as well, no matter what, too. He had been thinking that the other was adorable for a while, and now he finally got to tell him that and occasionally tease him about it.

"You can be chaotic, but you're always adorable," he smiled. "Seriously though, that's true. The fact that you're embarrassed right now is also adorable"

“Tarroo..” he whined

"What? You know it's true," he grinned. "I'll stop if you want me to, since the whole teasing and being a flirt is sort of your thing and not mine, but seriously, you make me happy from how adorable you are sometimes."

Kokichi sighed, kissing rantaro to deeply
