Winter realized that no one had asked how old Essar was. Winter asked, "Hey Essar, no one asked how old you are. So, how old are you?"
"I happen to outrank you all. I'm 22!" He chuckled as he poured the hot water into the press.
Winter was surprised. "You're so young! You have a kid, and a family, that's amazing!"
"Yeah." He smiled.
Elias laughed. "It would be like marrying you Winter, and then we still wouldn't have Essar beat! That's amazing. Essar you took on a lot of responsibility. I applaud you for that."
Winter almost died. Marrying Elias? She hoped that was in her future, but maybe when she was twenty?
"Thanks. Didn't plan on it though. You just never knew when you were in a war." He pressed a knob on the press.
She didn't say that out loud. She laughed it off, "Yeah Elias, maybe, but we still wouldn't beat Essar…"
Elias hoped Winter didn't think that he was rushing things… He hoped that she agreed.
