So, I've had this idea for a while.
A is a court jester, living under a tyrannical king. A's quarters is a dusty old closet in the dungeon, just big enough for a desk, a bed, and a bookshelf. A has a secret passage behind the bookshelf, triggered by the pulling of a book, stereotypical secret passage stuff. A brings small parcels of stolen money to his family every other week, sneaking out through the aforementioned passageway. On one trip in particular, A invites his family to the upcoming ball. While at the ball, A makes a joke about the king's tyranny, the king overhears, and gives the order of execution. B is a tavern bartender in the same tavern A visits on his trips. A and B are very well acquainted, friends even, except A has feelings for B. B is also an aspiring adventurer, down for any type of exploring. A stops at B's tavern in his rush to escape, asking B to come with them. The two escape, and live out their lives. In a few years time, A returns to kill the king, after marrying B. They succeed, but A loses his sanity in the process and murders B, keeping them on the throne next to A, believing they are still alive.
Any character sheet is welcome, no specific preferences for characters, but I'd prefer to be B. Anyone is welcom
