Name: Lainey Martinez

Appearance: Lainey has long, curly dark brown hair and green eyes with long lashes. She has thick (but neat) eyebrows and full lips. Lainey has fair skin which is covered in freckles and a slight gap in her front teeth. She’s on the shorter side at 5’ 3”. She’s thin with a little bit of curve, and has nails that are constantly painted black.

Personality: Lainey is secretive, but not in a way where it seems like she’s hiding something. She typically likes to make people think they know her or talk about themselves and share very little. She’s defensive and headstrong, but also can be tender hearted at times (a bad trait for a villain, so she does her best to hide it). She is also easily angered and extremely petty. She knows more than she lets on and is quite smart. Lainey is emotional, and sometimes her emotions get in the way of logic.

Likes: Flirting, breaking hearts, starting drama, reading, singing, being in control, and rain.

Dislikes: Being vulnerable, being weak, losing, not being in control of her powers/emotions, and heat.

Name: Lady Apathy

Age: 19

Appearance: Same as above expect she puts her hair in a ponytail.

Outfit: At first she almost looks like a college student going to a party, with her midnight blue body-hugging short dress, but she is not to be underestimated. Lady Apathy keeps a slew of weapons concealed on her thigh, in her thigh high black boots, and (of course) in her midnight blue gloves. She also wears a black mask that conceals most of her face.

Personality: She usually doesn’t say much or seem to have much of a personality, as her villain name is Lady Apathy. She is almost more useful as a field agent than a fighter because of her power, though she is good with knives and hand-to-hand combat.

Hobbies: Martial arts, gymnastics, reading, singing, acting.

Likes: Winning, lying, being secretive, parties, flirting.

Dislikes: People knowing more about her than she does of them, awkward situations, losing control.

Villain or Hero: Villain

Abilities/Powers: Empathy, and also a bit of making others’ emotions change (which is harder and can be blocked with training).

Backstory: Lainey had a mostly happy childhood until one night when villains entered her home. Neither of her parents had powers, but her mother had been an invaluable asset to the superheroes and a great field agent, teaching Lainey a lot. The villains had discovered her mother’s identity and were trying to kill her whole family. Lainey was terrified, hoping that the superheroes would save her family, but they never came. Once the villains got to Lainey’s room, she was able to make them feel sorry for her, which led to them being kind to her. Lainey spent the next few years in and out of foster care, but everyone thought she was freaky or a lost cause, so she ran away. Then she asked the only people she thought could help to take her in: villains. Of course, the couple of villains who took her in were minor, weak villains and were killed by the heroes, making Lainey even more resentful and heartbroken. She volunteered to join the villains as soon as she was able.

(is she good? i was thinking maybe she could be used to try and make one of the good guys fall in love or something??)

Ethnicity: American-Irish (I still get confused over ethnicity vs the other ones and stuff, sorry if this is wrong)
Appearance: Callie has pale skin with a couple freckles dotting her nose. Her eyes are a simple blue, with very little excitement to be had about them. Her sandy brown hair is mid-back length and falls in soft waves. She is of average height, weight and build.
Normal Outfit: Truthfully, anything comfortable. She likes hoodies and jeans. Her shirts normally have a short message on them, but are often plain. Her choice of shoes are normally simple sneakers.
Personality: Callie is kind and generous. She works as a volunteer at a child care centre, and adores working with the kids. She is compassionate and has a lot of empathy, somehow always knowing what to do.
Likes: The childcare centre, flowers, peppermint tea
Dislikes: Rude people, cemetaries
Other: She sounds more Irish than American, meaning it’s not obvious that she’s actually part American

HERO & VILLAIN STUFF
Name: Impulse
Age: 20
Sexuality: Bisexual

Appearance: The same as when she’s Callie, but she pulls her hair into a tight braid.
Outfit: Impulse loves the colour blue, and her suit reflects this. It has a hood, one that even she doesn’t really know how it stays on. Her mask is a simple gold one, similar to the ones of the Robins.
Personality: Impulse is quite sassy. She often knows what needs to be done, and truthfully hates being contradicted a lot. She finds planning easy, as she can get around quickly.
Hobbies: Running, I guess
Likes: Being a hero, her abilities
Dislikes: Her parents, being associated with the Flash
Villain or Hero: Hero
Abilities/Powers: Much like the Flash, Impulse has super speed. She can phase through objects by moving extremely quickly, but she doesn’t do it often because it makes her feel weird. She can’t time travel or do most of the things that the Flash can. She can run fast like him, and she can phase like him. She can also generate electricity like him, possibly even a little faster.
But that’s about it. Run fast, phase through things and generate electricity.
Backstory: Both of Callie’s parents are in Arkham Asylum. Her father is a well known villain who escapes quite often, while her mother is lesser known. Since her father is really well known and people connected the dots when she was a kid, Callie decided to take her mother’s last name when she grew up.
Callie is an only child, with her mother being Irish and her father born in Gotham. Both parents are quite insane, with her father’s whole thing being making other people insane. I’ll let you figure out who, and no it is not the Joker.

Lainey rested her cheek on her hand, bored. She wanted to go explore or something. Personally, Lainey didn’t love the Joker. His insanity made his emotions strange, sharp things, and Lainey wasn’t a fan. She wondered if she manipulate them. “Can we go on a field trip?” she asked sweetly, mentally trying to morph his emotions into something more compliant.

“Ooh, I like that idea,” Lainey agreed. “Then we can go shopping with the money!” While Lainey did love shopping, she also knew that the others might underestimate her for saying things like that. That was fine with her. Being underestimated was a weapon that she could use if the need arose.
