"Oh, I don't know. Maybe because not everyone carries drachmas around?" Lewis said, "You know, just a guess."
He tried to relax, but his posture was still so tense.
"Besides, if anyone learns it was you who stole, you could be in for undue trouble."
Daisy rolled her eyes. “Stop being so uptight,” she complained. “First off, I do have some drachma, and second, nobody ever catches me.” She had liked Lewis up until this point. Now it was time to do what she always did and push people away again.
Michael sighed. "So how exactly are we going to stop Erebus?"
"Well, he's the god of darkness so I can't do much," Zyra said with a laugh. "But, we have an Apollo kid with us, so we might have a chance."
Addy blushed. "C'mon Zoe, you'll be a help too. Darkness is kind of your home territory." she smiled, and then held up a back pack.
"I've got enough drachmas as well as normal money to keep us going, and… I have no idea what we're gonna do about Erebus." she admitted. "Back to our earlier conversation, we haven't been sent on a real quest, so we don't have any real directions on what to do. Just get to Camp Jupiter, and help them however we can. As far as we know, he hasn't risen yet, there's just a lot of signs indicating he could."
as her friends continued to talk, she smiled as it turned to bantering, and from bantering to arguing. This would surely be an interesting trip.
Suddenly the van lurched forwards, taking everyone with it.
"Good night!" Addy yelled, sitting up and looking around. The van had stopped, but her heart rate picked up. Was this the first monster attack, all ready?
Michael drew his gun and took off the safety, looking out the window before exiting the van carefully. "Look around for whatever caused that!"
Zyra quickly got up and left the van, her hand hovering over her dagger as she looked around. "What was that?"
Addy slung her backpack onto her back, and it transformed into a bow and quiver. She'd learned that trick from Frank, to no surprise.
She went around to the other side of the truck where nobody had looked yet, and stopped. There had been a rustling in the bushes nearby. She turned to look, and instantly got knocked onto her face by something hard and smooth. Hissing-like laughter filled her ringing ears, and she scrambled to turn around.
"Ya Khara," she cursed. Then she punched the van to get everyones attention. "It's a Chimera!" she yelled. The Chimera reared back, the goat head jutting from it's back bleating wildly. Addy rolled under the van just in time to not get trampled, rolled out from the other side, and shot an arrow through the rolled-down windows of the front seats. The arrow lodged itself into the creatures fur, but it's snake tail just ripped it out.
"Renforcements please?" she squeaked.

Lewis hopped out of the van to see what was going on. A chill ran down his spine. He fumbled for his weapon: a letter opener that could expand into a sword. He reached his hand into his pocket and it appeared as if he had pulled a sword from there.
He joined the fray, holding a stance with his blade forwards and his eyes locked on the target, waiting for a move.
Michael peeked around at the chimera and growled. He cocked the barrel and emptied the chamber. Then he spun the barrel and, the ammo magically filled up, shot another round. After the first few hits, the chimera roared and started to dodge.
As her friends came to her aid, Addy jumped on top of the van. Not all Chimera had wings, but yay, of course this one did. It began to spew fire from it's jaws, forcing everyone to take cover, except for her, since she was on top of the van. She fired some plagued arrows, hoping that enchanting them with strep throat might make the monster lose some of it's vigor.
Daisy blinked and hurried out to help the others, taking her knives from her belt. She gripped them tightly, one in each hand, before getting herself to remember her training. She dodged the monster’s attacks, looking for a weak spot.
Zyra took out her dagger, gripping it tightly as she dodged the monster's attacks, trying to remember how other people had defeated the chimera.
Normally, a Chimera's weakness was the fact that it couldn't fly. But this one in particular had wings, so it seemed there was no way to get rid of it. Unless…
"Everyone!" Addy shouted. "Don't let it become airborne! Keep it on the ground!" she fired more arrows, all enchanted with sicknesses that would hopefully be enough to keep the beast from ascending.
Michael targeted the wings and fired at them.
Daisy went in low while the chimera was distracted, using her Hermes kid stealth as she slid under the monster and went for it’s underbelly and the bottom of its wings. She was a bit overly confident in her skills for having not faced many monsters before.

As everyone else fought, Lewis did his best to keep the monster’s attention more on him than his allies. After all, it wouldn’t do a lot of them any good to get caught in their current actions.
He approached, keeping a full sword-length between himself and the monster, and loosening up his stance so he could dodge.
The bullets just pinged off, so Michael went in, flicking his gun up so it transformed into a longsword. He jumped up onto the back of the Chimera and slashed through the wings.
The monster howled, and with all of the demigods slicing, shooting, and blinding it at the same time, Addy knew they could win. Then, when Michael slashed through it's wings, the monster faded to dust and she howled with joy.
"We did it!" she yelled, jumping down from the van and high-fiving her friends. However… her excitement was short lived when she heard a roar from the forest. During the battle, they of course stepped out of their enchanted van, and it seemed the monsters had found them.
"Oh dear," she whispered, before turning around and waving her arms. "Everyone get back in the car!" She cried, hopping into the drivers seat and sparking the ignition. She heard someone get into the passenger seat beside her, but she didn't look to see who it was. She was to busy trying not to die.
(Whoever wants it can be the one in the passenger seat)

Lewis strapped himself in next to Addy, partially to avoid any more interaction with those in the back. He had a few small cuts and bruises from the fight, since he'd tried to act as a distraction, but was otherwise fine. He glanced into the back, trying to make sure everyone managed to pile in.
"You think we can outrun them all?" Lewis asked, then switching his gaze over to the forest.
When he saw that everyone was in, he let Addy know, a bit of a rushed sound to his voice.
Zyra sat down in the back, making sure everyone was here and no body was severely hurt. "Everyone okay?"
Michael got into the back and opened the window, not bothering to buckle up.
Addy sped off, checking her mirrors to watch the stampede of monsters behind them. "I don't know," she admitted to Lewis. Without taking her eyes off the road, she used her hand to slide the window behind her head open so she could communicate with those in the back.
"Open fire on them!" she told her friends. "Do whatever you can!"
She made sharp turns every chance she got, wincing when she heard those who weren't buckled in tumble around. "Sorry!" she yelled, but she didn't stop trying to lose their tailgaters.
Michael fired shots from the back seat.

Lewis reached for his bag and pulled out his hand crossbow. He loaded his first bolt and rolled down the window, took aim, and fired at one of the monsters. He hit a leg, causing the beast to collapse.
"Okay, we're doing fine," he huffed, "We should be able to get away from at least some of the slower ones."
"That's all great until you take into account, the faster ones!" she yelled as she veered to the right. They were on the outskirts of a town, and it seemed that every turn Addy made was pulling them further in. "Monsters attracted to us will attract more monsters. We need to get rid of all of them, but I don't know how!" A loud THUD sounded on the roof, and Addy stuck her hand out the window, firing a searing hot ball of light at whatever creature was trying to hitchhike. Dust exploded and rained down on the windshield, forcing her to turn the wipers on.
Angel was leaning out the window beside Michael, still shining light in monsters eyes. Considering she had no other long distance weapons, she thought she was doing pretty well. Noticing Mike wasn't buckled in, she reached over and grabbed the seat belt, doing it for him before returning to her previous task.
You're not buckled either. Anna meowed from the backpack.
That doesn't matter. Angel tried not to fall out the window as the car swirved.

"Let's try for a safe place?" Lewis suggested, "I dunno, maybe a place where some minor god or something hangs out? They should be able to help. Because I don't think we're going to be able to fight all these guys alone."
He fired another bolt, but while it hit a monster, it didn't do much besides make it angrier.
