River just moved off the plank and landed in front of the guards. She winked at them and strolled last them

Josie glared at her behind his back. Was she really going to just practically hand over the ship to people they were stealing from? Heck no. He stood his ground as the rest of the crew lined up behind Cicada.
"I'm not going to loosen up. I'm going to stay here." He stated firmly.

Brooke raised her eyebrows before running down and joining her captain.

Zoe sighed and rolled her eyes before running down onto the port waving at the people and guards passing by, wishing them a good afternoon.

@ShadeStar

"I said stay here," Cicada rolled her eyes "Your job. Guard ship. That's all. Goodbye."

Leaving the ship behind with Josiah, Houston ran with the pack down the port and through the streets of Oynx.
"Where is the spice house again. Not on the other side of town like it was last time - we had to leap rooftops to get there in time!" He panted, keeping up with Cicada as their heels hit cobblestone.

@ShadeStar

Cicada continued walking observing everything, "No not on the other side of town. I'm trusting Zoe to get what she needs. The rest of us are just here to relax before heading out. Anything you want to get?"

Immediately Zoe went to the herb store and went around buying the herbs and things they were running low on. "Finally Marakip!" She exclaimed as she put it in her bag and payed for it.

River went around and ‘bought’ a lot of fresh food.

"Um…how's about a new pack of resin? Perhaps some grapes, too. I love myself some grapes." Houston slowed to a walk, inspecting the wares around them, happy to finally have civilization around him again.

"Ooooh, what about a pet for the ship?" Brooke suggested.

@ShadeStar

Cicada chuckled, she wasn't happy nor sad to be on land again, "Resin would be good. Also a pet? What kind of pet? We need one that's easy to care for."

Brooke bit her lip as she thought. "What about a… cat? It could eat any pests that somehow make it onboard."

"I was thinking a lizard," Houston called back from the music stand.

River cane and joined the others “I’d like a large cat.” She said pointing to a cat

@ShadeStar

"That, sounds like a great idea," Cicada smiled at Brooke, "I think I saw someone who has animals this way."

"Awesome!" Brooke exclaimed, grinning. "Let's go!"

Zoe managed to get all their things before she decided to go into a shop and buy herself a sketchbook, a star map, and a book for her to read herself and getting a trinket before rushing back to the others. "Alright I got our stuff, does anyone need anything?"

@ShadeStar

Cicada lead her crew to the stand. It was almost inhumane how they were stored, at least in her eyes. To the other's it might seem normal.

Brooke frowned at the cramped cages. "We should save them," she whispered. "All of them."

Zoe walked over to where the others were. "Are we getting a pet or something?" She asked in confusion.

@ShadeStar

Cicada nodded, "Yeah a cat. Let's get one and go."

A plan was formulating in her head. But they had just gotten here, it would be too soon to cause chaos.

"Wait wait wait, why are we getting a cat? They hate water, why aren't we getting a dog? They're smart and can help us track items." Zoe reasoned with them.

@ShadeStar

"A dog wouldn't fare well on a ship," Cicada counter reasoned, "The cat would handle it much better. Besides cat's hating water is a myth, really it is. Some cats adore water."

Meanwhile…
Josie leaned against the railing, looking suspiciously at the guards. They held their gazes low from the menacing pirate, stealing glances now and then at him.
Then one stepped up.
"Josiah, isn't it? From Jade."
Josiah nearly fainted but tensed his muscles.
"I don't know that is. Why is he important to you?" He asked the guard, peering over his glasses at him.
"He was a traitor to the Jade army. I trained there before I came here. You look a lot like him."
"Well, I'm not."
"You look like his identical twin."
"I didn't know he had one. That's strange."
"Strange, indeed…" The guard's lip curled, and he took a step closer to the plank. So did Josiah, ready to pull it up.
"Then what's your name?" The guard asked, hoping to catch our Josie off guard.
"William Dennison. Yours?" Josie responded, 100% confident.
"Hunter March," Josie remembered that name - this man had shot him in the arm once, behind his back.
"Doesn't ring a bell. Anyways, you should go back on guard duty," He snapped, gesturing down. But the guard didn't seem to want to go back down.
"William. You sure look exactly like that Josiah…strange, isn't it, how names can deceive?" He took a step forward. "And so can names?"
"That's it, creep. Go back to duty." He ran to the plank and yanked it up, unanchoring the ship and turning it around. He was going to sail around Oynx to meet the rest of the crew there. This man knew who he was, and he didn't like that.
"AFTER HIM!" Shouted the guard, and suddenly tens, no, hundreds - were following him along the bank of Oynx.
Hopefully the rest of the crew would see this unfortunate predicament.

Brooke spotted a small, black cat in a cage with a larger ginger one. They were curled up together, close enough that there was still room in the cage around them.

"What about this black one?" she asked, pointing to the black one. "Though… It seems to like its friend…"

@ShadeStar

(No. That is not happening. I'm sorry, but no. The kingdom's aren't that integrated. And Jade keeps to themselves, including any army members, often raiding other kingdoms. The only safe people are merchants. So no.)

(I'm very sorry, I don't know the rules of your universe so please excuse me! So sorry again, pretend that never happened and Josie's still smoking a cigar on the ship's railing.)

@ShadeStar

Cicada looked at the two cats, "We can get two right? The more the better."
