After a moment he began to doubt his earlier plans slightly. “Do… Do you think I should try and encourage some of the other princesses to come with us? I’d only be marrying one of you, but I have no idea whether they want to get married or not… or their whole deal.” I added on quietly.

(I get the feeling Catori sort of negates the evil, greedy, scheming side of Damian, so expect a lot of self doubt in the future!)

His brother should be repulsive enough to drive the princesses away by themselves. “I won’t go out of my way to.” He mused, pondering this carefully. “But if they talk to me I’ll put in a little effort.” He deciding, nodding his head.

Ursule turned her head quickly, her scarves flowing in the wind from her movements. "Oh! Hello, I am Ursule. From the so-claimed, kingdom of sand and sea."

Damian felt his face grow red and flustered again and forced himself to look away. “You wouldn’t happen to have powers similar to Pine’s do you?” He asked, his voice cracking with embarrassment.

"My most prominent power is the ability to control fire, so I don't…think so." Catori looked up, her cheeks tinged a light red and one eyebrow raised.

Alexia continued to wander deeper into the castle, trying to seem like she was supposed to be there so no one would question her. She could care less if one of the princes was interested in her, she was just happy to be away from her country and her parents. "I've got to get somewhere colder," She mumbled to herself as she fanned her face with her hand, the warmth of this country was starting to make her sweat.

Damian stifled an embarrassed groan and took a deep breath. “So that’s a no then.” He nodded, trying to compose himself. “Would you like to tell me a little about yourself and your kingdom? Or do you want to save that for the ride?”

Lotus smiled and nodded. She hadn't quite expected the thicker accent from the girl, "It's nice to meet you Princess Ursule. If I may ask what is it like in your kingdom?"

"It's much… Sandier to say the least. There is actually good food there, along with nice music. Better bars…" Ursule trailed off, re-wrapping the scarves around her neck.

Catori paled a bit at the mention of talking about herself, and stuck with a safer topic. "Would you like to hear about my country?"

"Of course, I would assume you miss home then?" Lotus asked. The other princess had only been here for a few moments, but Lotus needed someway to relate to her fellow princesses.

"I suppose, I miss the prospect of being back to my home. But I do not miss it. I am here for an adventure and to get in fights." Ursule said, shrugging.

Lotus grinned, "That sounds like a marvelous plan. I hope you get your adventures and your fights."

"What about you, what do you wish to get out of this shitty situation?" She asked with a grin.

Lotus shrugged with a light smirk, "Oh who knows. We'll see as time goes on."

Catori paled a bit at the mention of talking about herself, and stuck with a safer topic. "Would you like to hear about my country?"

“I would love to, whatever makes you comfortable. I mean no disrespect.” Damian noticed her pale and immediately grew concerned.

Lotus shrugged with a light smirk, "Oh who knows. We'll see as time goes on."

"This is going to be more hellish than the princes!" Ursule exclaimed cheerfully.

She shook her head to rid herself of bad thoughts, forcing a smile. Maybe if you think it, it becomes true. "I would love to tell you about my country. What all would you like to know?"

“Anything you desire to tell me, but for my peace of mind, customs? You quite obviously dress rather differently than me. And since, if you do end up marrying me, you’ll have to mostly assimilate into my culture, I would like to learn of yours so we can integrate a bit.” He smiled politely, silently wondering how many times he’d screwed up in this respect already.

Lotus shrugged with a light smirk, "Oh who knows. We'll see as time goes on."

"Hhhmm." She thought for a moment, the tip of her tongue sticking out in habit. "When it comes to my clothes, my own people find it a bit odd. It's…for practical reasons, and so I don't feel bad about ruining nice clothes."
