"WhAt dId I dO tO yOU?" Jem asked, growling. He glanced at Darcy, who was snoozing peacefully on the ice.
(Are they high up in the air or still hovering?)

Glacia took off. "Nah, it was just as a prank. You were sleeping."

Jem harrumphed, peering down at the ground below them. He hoped they'd reach their destination soon. He wasn't afraid of heights, but he was wary.

Jack sat behind Astrid, holding onto her waist. He told her instructions, loud enough for Jem to hear, but occasionally he whispered something in Astrid's ear and she giggled.

Jem scowled angrily. At this rate, he'd be stuck in a permanent scowl forever. "Get a room!" He yelled up at Astrid and Jack, grumbling profanities under his breath.

They looked down at him. Astrid smiled - a little evily - and sent a bolt of lightning at Jem.

Jem shook as screeched as the bolt hit him, and his finger lost their grip on the slippery ice, and down he fell, speeding towards the ground.

Astrid rolled her eyes and caught her brother on a gust of wind.

"YOU FRICK FRACKLING FISH SUCKING SLIDER!" Jem yelled at Astrid. He crossed his arms and wondered why he had ever done anything for Astrid. She clearly didn't need his help to find Variana.

"Do you want me to leave you here?" Astrid called down to him. "Cause I will gladly."

"Sure, why don't you! You clearly don't need my help finding Vari anyways!" He yelled back up at her.

"OK!" Astrid called back happily and dropped him. Glacia took off.

Jem hit the ground hard, tucking and rolling. He stood up dazed, filled with rage. Why the hell did he even bother, all he wanted to do was find Vari. Well, if Astrid didn't want him then he'd go find Vari himself.
