He rose a brow, and his emerald eyes widened just a fraction, the picture of confusion and slight offense. "Mostly unccessful?" he repeated, "That means he did something that produced a little sway. What, pray tell, did he do that was successful, Lily dearest?"
“Looked a lot like you.” She said, fighting a smile. Lifting a hand, she tapped the various piercings on his face, ending on the lip ring and lingering there. “He didn’t have any metal on his face though. No piercings. I’m used to the piercings.” The smile slipped free anyway, small and amused.

He lightly nipped at her finger, his lips curling up into a smile that mirrored hers. "Is that what kept you from running off with him?" he murmured, moving his lips as little as possible as to not disturb where Lily's finger lingered. His hands were on either side of her thighs, but he made no move to move them any closer to her legs or her.
Her blush deepened as he nipped at her finger, but she didn’t move it. “Yeah. I couldn’t just leave with an imposter, even if he was good looking.” She said, leaning just a bit closer to him. Her finger drifted along his lip, the touch so light it wasn’t almost nonexistent.

"I'm glad," he said, still speaking in a hushed murmur as she inched closer to where he was leaning against the bed. He resisted the urge to lick his lips, her featherlight touch both nice and borderline ticklish. "Can't have you running off with a criminal. They're the worst."
"I don't know, they can be kind of sweet sometimes. Not the worst people out there, for sure." She ran thumb back along his lip, just slowly going back and forth. Her other hand stayed where it was in her lap, the photo set aside on the bed.

His tongue playfully poked out when she made another pass over his lip, catching her finger with a twinkle in his amused eyes. "Debatable for some, but I suppose I should keep an open mind." He strangely didn't mind her touch, and it really just made his eyes flicker down to her lips for a brief second.
A small and soft laugh fell from her lips as he sort of licked her finger, her eyes sparkling. "You should definitely do so. There are some good criminals out there. In fact, I know a thief who's quite possibly the kindest and best person I know." Her eyes caught the movement of his, and she shifted another inch or so closer to him, this time a more conscious movement.

"Oh really? And who is this thief? He sounds like quite the guy." Once again, his eyes flitted over her body, catching her movement. A small flash of approval mixed with surprise flickered through the emerald color as he dragged his gaze back up to meet hers, his pierced brow arching up.
"He is. Quite amazing, if you ask me." Her hand moved to allow her fingers to trace his jawline idly, as she kept her eyes on his even when the moved. "His name is Rhydar, and I'm highly considering asking him to kiss me." She tilted her head in question, smiling that warm and soft smile she saved for him.

"Mmm," he hummed, leaning forward until he was barely an inch away from her face, his breath mingling with hers as he murmured, "I'm sure he'd be willing to oblige you." His own secret smile slipped through, the warmth in both his eyes and smile reserved just for her.
"Do you think so?" She asked, nudging his nose with her own slightly. Her hand moved again, her arm loosely draping over his shoulders to hold him the best she could. Her heart fluttered at the warmth in his expression, something that still managed to startle her slightly.

He hummed again and tilted his head so that his lips just barely brushed over hers as he spoke. "I think I know so," he mumbled, "but you could always go for it to see what he says—or does. Can't go wrong, I'd think. Pretty girl like you, adorable as adorable can be, low chance of this Rhydar saying no."
"I hope so. Otherwise kissing him would be fairly awkward." She murmured, lips brushing his with each movement. "You know, kissing a guy who doesn't want to kiss you. Ends badly on both ends I hear." She leaned in the rest of the way, pressing her lips gently to his, though with a certain surety behind them.

He hummed with a small smile, then mumbled "I wouldn't know," before pressing into the kiss, head tilting to make it more comfortable for them both, as well as add slightly to the intensity—though it wasn't enough to extend past the realm of gentle. His eyes were half-lidded, and his palms sank deeply into the mattress from his weight.
Her lips stayed sure against his, as though she really was losing the hesitance that had followed her around, clung to her every move around him like an unwelcome shadow. She was gaining confidence in herself and him. Her eyes fluttered, not quite shutting as she kept them on his face, shining with a happy contentedness and maybe a small bit of longing.

Rhydar let the kiss linger for a few more seconds, his own eyes shining with pure happiness, before gently pulling back, though he seemed reluctant to do so in how slow he moved. He didn't pull far away, as his lips were a hair's breadth from hers as he looked down at her almost contemplatively. He seemed to be mulling over something, though his soft expression betrayed nothing of his thoughts.
She pressed her nose to his, closing her eyes as she smiled, subsequently missing the look in his eyes for a few moments. When she did open them, catching the look in his eyes, she tilted her head slightly. “Something on your mind, dear?” She asked curiously, her thumb tracing over the back of his neck, small designs that made no sense whatsoever.

He opened his mouth to say no, then let out a breath through his nose as he lightly pressed his lips to hers. The taste of her would never grow old, he knew, just like anything about Lily would never grow old, even as they both got up there in years—he'd still see that young and adorable spark in her he loved seeing. "I'm. . . incredibly lucky to've met you, Lily, and I wouldn't trade that moment for anything in the world."
She blinked in surprise, but melted quickly into the kiss. "I could say the exact same thing about you." She murmured sweetly, smiling against his lips as she continued to trace the patterns. "But I'm glad haven't let you down yet." Her head turned, lips pressing to the corner of his, then his cheek, and then back to the corner of his mouth.

His smile grew slowly, lips moving against hers as he turned his head to press a light kiss to the corner of her mouth, her cheek, and then the corner of her mouth again—copying her. He then leaned forward as far as he could go to bury his face against her shoulder, slightly leaning into her neck. "You could never let me down," he murmured against her skin, eyes slipping closed.
"I would hope not." She hummed, resting her head against his for a moment before lifting it. "As much as I love spending time with you like this Rhydar, we do have things to do, and you have a shirt to put on." Her tone was almost playful as her hand moved to poke his chest gently, trying to pretend she didn't wish she had the capability of adding a bit more contact.

He groaned and let out a heavy and exaggerated sigh against her neck, leaving a parting kiss to her shoulder as he pulled away. The matress let out its own groan as it was freed of his weight. "I know I know. You're just too irresistible, I can't help myself." He smiled and cupped her cheek with a hand, pulling her head towards him slightly so he could press a gentle kiss to the top of her head.
"Are you sure you're not just finding excuses?" She asked, laughter mingling with her voice at his dramatics. It was honestly a startlingly musical sound, the blend, which wasn't surprising considering what she was, but to anyone who didn't know that, it tended to be. Her nose scrunched up as he pulled her head closer, her smile bright and warm.

"Maybe I am. But my excuses are valid." He lightly tapped her scrunched up nose with a chuckle, then let go of her and backed away to find his shirt and shoes. "But you're right, I really need to stop getting distracted. We have a date today." He pulled on the shirt after finding it, then got his shoes on as well. He liked the way her voice sounded when it did that, even if it was slightly unnatural. There was a lot in his life that wasn't natural, so it didn't bother him one bit.
"You can't always blame your distraction on me, you know." She teased as she stood, her voice still carrying that happy musical undertone. The only thing it seemed to do was manage to draw a bit more attention to her, when others were around. "I'm not a scapegoat, dear. But let's get on with this date, because now you've got me excited too."

He grinned like a kid in a candy store, lightly scooping up her hand and pressing a quick kiss to her knuckles as he laced his fingers through hers. "Good. Shopping is much more enjoyable when experienced with a thief, and I already know you'll love the farm." He tilted his head towards the door of the bedroom, gently tugging on her hand to guide her towards it. "C'mon, we have a busy day ahead of us."
"You aren't stealing anything for me, Rhydar." She said, laughing lightly as she let him tug her along. Getting her feet under her, she kept up just fine, her thumb tracing circles into his skin. "But I do think i'll love the farm, and shopping with you will make that as a thing more enjoyable."

"Awww," he pouted, putting on a fake look of dejection, before grinning brilliantly. "I really hope you'll love it." He pushed open the bedroom door, then led her downstairs to the first floor. Their mare was outside, munching happily at a freshly filled trough of hay.
"I'm sure I will." She said sweetly, smiling up at him. Once they reached the first floor, she glanced around, before looking back up at him. "Do you want to go check us out while I grab Nevarra?" She asked, tilting her head.
