(So are we starting off with them already knowing about the quest or when they get the quest?)

@Lord_Hellstrande

(I was thinking of having them meet up to get it, just based on various reasons to go on said quest and get the quest)

(Okay)

Kathryn walked into the assassin's guild. Her hands were still covered in the blood of her victim, her knife not yet cleaned. She would have to clean it soon soothe blade wouldn't full. She walked to the office of her master and placed down a pendant that belonged to the now deceased man. "It is done?" He asked her. "Yes." Kat watched her master stand and creep around the desk, all while staring at her. "Good. There is rumor that something of the king and queen have lost something valuable. I want you to confirm and report back to me." Her eyes furrowed. "And how do you suggest I do that?" "You have your….connections with the Prince, use that." He tilted her head up and gently caressed her cheek. "Go now, and do not return until you know."

Melanthea took careful aim, drawing back her bow. The deer in the woods was eating peacefully, unaware she was there. Unaware that the panther was there, sneaking up on him. Letting go of the string, the arrow flies through the air, sticking the panther right in the heart. Melanthea sighed in relief as the deer rushed off. The panther would make good money in the black market. "MEL!" Colette cried, rushing into the forest. The small nine-year-olds short light blue bob whipping her in the face, "Where are you?" Sighing, Melanthea jumped down from the tree she was in.
"I'm here." She calls to Colette. The fairy rushes into her arms, almost knocking her over. "What happened?" Melanthea asks.
"I may have set a small fire," Colette whispers. Melanthea sighed. Colette certainly was an odd fairy. She was supposed to be a water fairy, her entire family was, and there was a small teardrop under her left eye. But instead, Colette set fires, like fire fairies did, and had no idea how to summon water from her fingertips.

Dante strode through the gates in the capital city, ignoring the guard as his eyes followed the young mage. People watched as he strode down the high street, but no one spoke to him. The stall vendors seemed apprehensive to selling their wares to him, feeling the aura of power radiated and the cold stare in his eye. He wasn't here to stay for long…just enough to get what he wanted from the kingdom in return for the service he was going to offer…if he wasn't a citizen of this kingdom, he wouldn't bother with its troubles.

Grabbing the large panther, Melanthea drags it to the secret entrance of the black market. Colette waited outside grumpily, Melanthea not allowing her to come in. "Hey, Mel!" Todrick calls, "I heard a warlock entered the city today. That's kinda like you, right?" Melanthea scoffed.
"Warlocks are nothing like me. They are male, for one, and I'm a green witch. Certain magic only, remember?"
"Oh, yeah." Todrick says softly, "Still, any warlock that enters the city ends up down here, maybe you'll bump into him."
"Like I would care." Melanthea rolls her eyes.

Kat knew all the entrances and secret openings into the palace. Each time she snuck, she made sure to use a different one. Using the same entrance, she would surely get caught. She took the secret passages through the walls and under the floors. she paused a moment when she reached the king's meeting room, listening for anything worthwhile. It was nothing important, nothing that would affect her. she continued her way to the prince's room. She and the prince had a special relationship, one that pleased them both. She let her hair down and cleaned off the dust on her clothing. She sat back on his bed and waited for the prince to return to his room. It shouldn't be too long, she had sent him a message that she knew he received.

Mick walked through the streets looking at all the familiar sights as he passed. He had heard the king and queen were looking for volunteers to find something and he desperately wanted to go and get out of the kingdom but was indecisive about weather or not to join in as he assumed it was quite a dangerous quest if they wanted volunteers. He entered the shop that he'd found a job at and got to work, he had known the owner prior, Joe and he was almost like a father figure to him…well maybe more of a distant uncle sort of thing.

Melanthea quickly found a both that would trade for the panther. "What do you see that you like?" The man behind it asks.
"That's a nice looking knife," Melanthea says, gesturing to a dagger with a ruby at the tip of the handle.

The guards at the doors watched Dante approach, the only sound between them the soft thudding of Dante's staff and the wind.
"Stop right there," one of the them ordered, glaring at him. Dante kept walking. "I said stop!" They leveled their pikes and Dante stopped out of their reach. "What business have you here?"
"I have come to offer the power and skill of a sorcerer to your king and queen," he answered. "I can enter the easy way if you let me, but I will force my way in if need be…." There was a few seconds of tense silence before they backed away and allowed him to enter.

@Lord_Hellstrande

(Anyone on?)

(I'm here.)

"Ehemm, Melanthea, you're late for work." Joe points out.
"Shit!" Mel grabs the dagger and rushes outside, giving Colette a quick kiss on the forehead before heading to the place.
"Hey, watch out today, Melanthea." One of the guards at the front gate warns her, "Some crazy warlock came in earlier. Melanthea scoffs.
"I can take care of a silly old warlock, IF he stands in my way." She says firmly. Without another word, she heads inside.

Dante had never been inside the palace, but it wasn't hard to get around. Servants stared at him for a while as he passed but continued on their way to their duties. He light footsteps made almost no noise as he strode down the long halls, determined to find the throne room. He reached a pair of impressive doors manned by two men in uniforms.
"Do you have an audience with his and her majesty?" The left one asked lazily.
"No." Dante admitted, not wishing to lie this close in his journey.
"Then what makes you think that you can speak with King Mythius and Queen Everlin?" The right one asked. Dante stood up to his full height, trying not to smite the doormen with magic, and doing very well.
"I am under the impression that the king and queen require volunteers," Dante said, trying to sound polite and calm. "I am here for nothing more than to offer my skills to them, if they will accept…." He wasn't if the men would allow him to enter as they looked at each other.
"You seem honest enough," the left one said. "You may speak with his majesty." They walked over their respective doors and pushed them open, standing out of the way for Dante. He made it halfway to the thrones before planting his staff and kneeling before his king.

Melanthea nods at the guards and enters the throne room, only to see someone already kneeling before them.

@Lord_Hellstrande

Dante heard the door open behind him, but didn't look back at whoever had entered.
"I only wish to offer my magic and power to the aiding of your empire, Your Majesty," he continued. "All I ask in return is a reward to compensate for my work…." They didn't say anything and it was obvious their attention had changed to whoever was standing in the doorway. Risking his glance, Dante looked over his should with a cold hard stare at the girl who'd interrupted his audience.

"Hello your Highnesses, hello Prince Roman." Melanthea greets coldly, "Who is he?"
"Unimportant." Roman says, "He wants a job."
"You must be the Warlock I've heard talk of." Melanthea says, walking closer to the throne.

@Lord_Hellstrande

"I'm a sorcerer," Dante growled, wondering if she would hear him, "not a warlock. Two entirely different systems of magic…." He turned his gaze back to the king and queen. "What do you need done, just say the word and I will go." They looked at him and the girl beside him before answering.
"An item was stolen from us," Roman said. "A key forged in silver and leading to…it's not important. We have reason to believe it has been taken far from our lands so that we may no longer use it. Bring it back to us and we shall reward you handsomely." Dante stood up and gave a quick nod. "Anything you find along the way is yours to take, just bring back that key…."

"I will." Melanthea nods then glares at Dante, "And it would do you good to stay out of my way."

@Lord_Hellstrande

A devilish smirk played across Dante's face at the girl's words. "You would do well to watch your tongue around me…my power is beyond anything you can imagine, and I'm not going to walk away when money and knowledge is involved. Besides, what if the key is hidden in a secret of the arcane? How will you get it if you go there all alone?"

"I know my way around. I have friends in certain places." Melanthea tries her best to avoid his question, "And I never said I'd be alone."

@Lord_Hellstrande

Dante tried to hide his confusion and surprise but with no success. "Then who are you taking…?"

Melanthea bristles. "That's none of your buisness." She says coldly.
