"Still don't understand but I think I know what's happening…" Farron wrapped an arm around Fae, "We need a doctor! Now!"
One-On-One anyone? (CLOSED)
The nurses simply stared at Farron but took Fae from him. Not every elf understood English, mostly only those that lived in Volta.
Farron ran a hand through his hair and tried to follow the nurses, "Come on! I need to be there."
A few elves held him back. "Chan urrainn dhut a thighinn a-steach an seo. Eilich a-mhàin."
("You can not come in here. Elves only.")
“I can’t understand you dumbasses. I want to see my child being born!” Farron sighed and still tried to get past.
An elf stepped up. "Sir, you don't wish that. Believe me, you don't."
“Sorry, guess it’s a human thing. How’s it different?” He asked the elf.
"Has it been explained to you by her?" The elf asked. "Because if not, she probably doesn't you to know."
“I only found out she was pregnant a few hours ago and we’ve been a bit preoccupied since then so please, why don’t you explain.” Farron crossed his arms.
"OK then. Basically when an elf is pregnant, the baby is in a small egg about the size of a fist. When the baby is too big for the egg and starts pressing against the sides, the mother is cut into to retrieve the egg. You humans call it a 'C-section'. The eggs is then taken to the baby ward and it is popped. Over the next ten minutes, the baby grows and matures to around the age of a 2 year old child, however they are still newborn. Make sense?"
Farron nodded, “Yeah, that makes sense. Sorry, I guess I’m just nervous about the whole thing.”
"It's fine. I was the same for my wife," The man said. "I was very nervous, but now we have three beautiful children."
“Congrats, man. It also doesn’t help that I’m human and Fae doesn’t bother telling me these things.” He said, sighing.
"Fae, Fae. Where have I heard that name before?" The man thought out loud.
Farron swallowed, “I’m sure it’s a very common name…”
"Faelynn? Is that her full name?"
“Why do you want to know?”
"The kingdom of Roni is looking for her. She's the only living daughter of Princess Aira. Princess Aira's siblings passed before their parents, so there's no one to rule the throne. So they're trying to find her as she's part of the bloodline."
Farron nodded, “I see. Okay so she um.. she might be the princess…”
A nurse came up to Fare on and told him something. The man translated. "You can go and see your child now."
“Thanks.” Farron said as he followed the nurse to where Fae and their child was.
Fae had a baby in her arms. There were sprouts of purple and green hair, and her ears were about half the size of a normal baby elf. "It's a girl, Farron. And look, she's an earth and air elf," Fae said, showing Farron the babies eyes. One eye was green, and the other was purple.
“She’s beautiful, just like her mother.” Farron said, smiling softly as he walked up to them both and placed a kiss to both of their forehead’s, “What are we gonna call her?”
"I was thinking Alizeh. It means wind and brave in Athenian."
“I like it. And we can shorten it to Ali which sounds more human so it’s the best of both worlds.”
Fae smiled at Farron. Then she spotted a poster. "Why is my name and face on that poster?"
Farron sighed a little, “I’ve just been told that there are people from Roni looking for you, so you can rule your kingdom.”
"But why? Why can't my aunts or uncles do it?"
“Apparently, Princess Aria’s siblings passed before their parents. That’s just what the guy I was talking to said.”
"So basically I'm the only heir?"
