D'var made his way across the room and pulled himself into a seat at the bar. He smiled at Calix. "Excuse me, is doing magic prohibited in here?" The boy asked.
The New New New Fantasy Tavern
"Clearly not," Eya answered with explicit hauteur. "Some people just don't, clearly, D'var."
"I mean a different kind of magic, Ms. Angry Pants." D'var replied, his smile not faltering. He kicked his legs a little as his tail wrapped around the leg of the seat. "As my mentor would say, mind your own business."
"Does it really matter, D'var-chan?" Eya chirped with an underlying current of danger.

"Magic isn't prohibited as long as…" Calix sighed then pulled out a pretty decently sized book about the rules and stuff of the establishmen he took a few seconds and read the page about magic, "magic isn't prohibited as long as it isn't used to, vandalize something, hurt, injure, kill, or antagonize, someone." He said boredly then looked over at them "Sooooooo, yeah you can use magic."
D'var blinked curiously at her, then stuck his tongue out before turning back to the bar. "Sir, if she's right and we can use magic freely, then may we get a glass of water, please?"
Eya left out a little huff and looked back down to her book.

"Yeah sure, I don't care." Calix nodded as he put away the rule book.
Marble ruffled his hair when D'var sat back down with a glass of water. "What was that lady saying to you?" Shay asked, but D'var simply shrugged dismissively. "She was answering my question to the bar guy but was being kinda flippant."
"I heard them talking about this place being a bit shady, yet she seems like the only shady one here to me."
Meanwhile, Marble had taken some droplets of water from the glass and was hovering them in different areas over the map, staring at it with slit pupils. She twitched a finger and one of the drops landed in a woodland, leaving a light blue spot; she did this until there was a different colored spot in five parts of the map.
Eya listened as D'var spoke to a woman, not really interested until they got to the 'shady' part. Her eyes narrowed but she kept her cool, hissing to herself.

"Kid, shady taverns are litterly where most murderers are born." A new jersey like accent said from behind Ava.
Ava whipped around, her eyes hardened. "Who are you?" she asked defiantly.
"The real question is who am I not?" The voice purred, laughing aftward.
school
"Who sent you?" her eyes narrowed, and she glared in the direction she thought the voice was coming from.
"No one sends me anywhere!" The voice sounded offended like its hand was held to its heart.
school
The tension in her body was relieved just a tiny bit. Perhaps this creature, human? was not sent by the family of Halls. Perhaps…
"Ugh, humans these days. Always jump to accusations, no fun." The voice sounded so disappointed at that.

So, alien then. "Show yourself," she demanded. She didn't want to be constantly looking around her, over her shoulder for an invisible alien.
"And why would I do that? It would ruin the element of surprise." It purred, absolutely delighted.

Ava pursed her lips and turned around, annoyed. Maybe if she ignored him it, it would go away.
"I'll give you a hint! The three gods that just left, they're the chaotic gods, they're afraid of me."
school
"What, are you the god of peace of something?" Ava shot back sarcastically without looking in their direction.
The voice burst out laughing at that, not calming down for about a minute. "Me? God of peace. That's a real kneeslapper!"
school
"Yeah, well, peace is literally the opposite of war," she stated.
"Well none of them were gods of war, so eat that." The voice pouted, a tall figure being outlined in the shadows.
school
"Destruction, whatever," Ava said in a flippant tone.
"That'd be Blair, wow, you are really not that bright."
school
She rolled her eyes. Taking a deep breath, she turned around slowly. "Will you please just tell me who you are?" she said in a low voice, noticing out of the corner of her eye the outline of their body.
The outline vanished and a tall man with a crown and a colorful scarf appeared behind Ava. "God of life my dear!"
school
She crossed her arms and scowled. "You know, you're really starting to get on my nerves…"
"Why thank you! That's one of my favorite things to do!"
