The Soul Labyrinth

“You know how we often say that Knights thrive to be at a higher rank, also known as Paladins? Yeah… you should get the idea…” Cassius pointed at the silhouette as he explained.

Aisen, in the distance, held his sword upwards. White, black and blue energy emitted from it and started to heal the land.

Loki followed him through the halls staying quiet as to not bother anyone

Hinata, when she heard this, smiled, sheathing her swords.
"Nice," she commented.

Aisen turned back to the opening and saw the group. He smiled.
“Wow, Cassius, sad to say I beat you on this one” the brother sheathed his sword as the silhouette followed inside the sheath.
Cassius laughed.
“Sad to say that you beat me in almost everything” he faked a cry.

Hinata chuckled, smiling.
"Congrats, Aisen," she said.

“Yeppp~” Aisen gave a thumbs up.
Cassius laughed softly before changing to a serious tone.
“andrew (Our Supreme Lord and Overseer)’s contacting me… saying he really needs help…”

Hinata turned to Cassius, quickly growing serious again.
"Understood. He's at the Time Palace, right?"

"Sebastian how much further?" Loki asked curiously

"The name's Kye Gathrodir, The Cave Dweller. Some people call me Caveman, due to how much time I spend in caves," Kye replied to the knight. "Anyways, I'm gonna head to the Royal building or whatever you called it."

Cassius nodded.
“The exit portal of this realm should be somewhere here…” he closed his eyes and his strings started to crawl towards the portal. When he found it, he opened his eyes and the portal appeared.
Aisen then did the same thing as last time, enchanting the portal so that it travels between realms.
“Let’s go then”
“I’ll be waiting here” Caleb suggested “…someone’s gotta take care of the kid when he wakes up, right?”
“You do that, but if you do anything out of order,” Aisen eyed the gunner “your corpse wouldn’t be so beautiful”
With that, Cassius and Aisen walked through the portal.

“A little further. My creator lives quite far down the hall” Sebastian answered.

Selik nodded.
“Well if you don’t mind I’ll be following you. I don’t really have anywhere to go as of now” he added as he readjusted his monocle.

Hinata, with her goodbyes said, walked through the portal after them, apprehensive as to that they would find this time.

Kye shrugged. "Sure you can come with I don't mind," he started walking down the hall.
I wouldn't trust this person.
Because they just seem a little too friendly, yeah I know.
Just keep eyes on the back of your head.
I got it.

After walking through the portal and given that the portal closed, a deafening chime can be heard from the large castle. Different from the other realms, the Time Palace realm is naturally on nighttime.
A figure stood at the top of the building, glancing up at the moon.

Hinata winced slightly at the chime, but she didn't bother to try to cover her ears. She blinked a couple of times, eyes adjusting to the nighttime lighting. She looked up, then, spotting the figure.

Selik followed quietly. He wasn’t the kind of person who talks much anyways. Wavering his hand nonchalantly, green and purple aura came from his hands.

The figure turned towards the group whilst holding a camera.
Aisen unsheathed his sword.
“I am, oh, so tempted to cut his head off…” with that the newest Paladin jumped upwards at incredible speeds and got relatively close to the figure before…
“Smile” the figure clicked the camera once, Aisen’s body turned black and white and stopped moving mid-air as well as the area around him.
The figure then jumped down from the roof.

"Have I ever mentioned how much I hate time manipulators?" Hinata hissed. Her swords were out in an instant, preparing for a most difficult battle.

“Yep… you’ve mentioned that before” Cassius’ strings were out from his back and charged the figure.
The camera flashed once and the strings that were in the frame froze. When Cassius tried to call them back, that didn’t work. When the camera flashed though, Aisen was released.

Did you see that? Hinata sent to Cassius, preparing to charge. A plan was formulating in her mind.

Seems like he can only create one of those areas at a certain time Cassius answered the mental call.
You got an idea?

Yeah. There are three of us, and he can only make one. If we all come in at different angles, at least one of use should make it through.

Cassius physically nodded before the gray area disappeared after exactly one minute.
I need to communicate that to Aisen real quick he sent, moving to avoid being captured by the camera.
Aisen said if you’re the one who got through, make sure to not hurt Martin physically and just slash behind him

Kye moved down the hall, stopping every so often to listen to what was going on around him. He could hear spirits talking, sobbing, screaming, what have you. He could hear several things flying above them, and he could hear things in different halls walking around.

Once around five minutes passed, they reached the deeper halls of the Royal Building as Selik did help Kye through the halls.
“So, how long have you been in here?” He asked, breaking the silence.

Got it. You boys ready? she asked, preparing for the attack.

Kye thought for a moment. "By this point I've been here for exactly sixteen minutes and seven seconds. This is what I get for just walking through a cave and thinking that today was a nice day. The universe just looooves proving me wrong. Also you said that this has happened before?"

More than ready Aisen nodded physically as he sent the message. He focused energy on his sword as it glowed a blue aura.
Cassius smiled as his strings formed to a lance shape and gave out a red radiance.
Give us the signal

“Yeah, but that was like… decades ago” Selik replied.
“Back then, the one who decided to do that was already taken care of” he added while playing around with his powers.

"Sure, but that just proves something," Kye continued. "If I'm correct, and I won't make any assumptions, but last time, did it play out a lot like how it's playing out now?"

“Not exactly. There were a lot of things that changed, especially on the action side of things” Selik answered.
“People have their theories on who this ‘traitor’ may be but we can’t be so sure yet”

"But what I'm getting at is that, handling this in violence, only results in more violence. There are other ways of solving this that doesn't involve violence. While I know there are some situations where violence is inevitable and sometimes it's the only way to get a point across. This is a situation that could be handled without it," Kye finished as they reached the building. "What exactly am I going to be looking for here?"

Hinata herself had swung to behind Martin, swords poised to attack.
"Now!" She said, charging.
