Weekend At the Overlook CLOSED (3/3)

Neri walked out, up to the innkeep, to grab a broom behind the counter. She waved to the group, before starting sweeping.

"That innkeep gives me a bad vibe" Joseph muttered over the rim of his coffee cup, stealing a bite from Simon's waffle.

Laural just nodded. "We need more proof though, don't we?"

"Bad vibes isnt proof, but he probably wont give us anything easily, gonna have to dig." Chris sighed, "not like I havent been trying, cant find hardly anything on this place".

Joseph sipped his coffee and leaned his head against Simon.

Laural nodded. "What about his niece? Neri? She seems like she might know more..?"

"Did she seem comfotable talking to you guys? Shes more likely to open up near people she feels comfortable" Chris said simply.

Ama nodded in agreement. "She'd probably still talk if one of you went with one of us, but if more than one of you guys went to talk to her, she might not talk as freely. Or, at least, that's what it seems like to me."

"So we stay back, the guys I mean" Joseph shrugged, using Simon's shoulder as a pillow. "Best way to ensure she feels safe to be open and honest, we can find something else to work on."

Laural and Ama stood up too, heading towards Neri, who was sweeping. She looked up as the others approached. "Oh! Good morning!" She smiled, pushing her brown hair out of her face.

Joseph yawned, "I slept better than usual last night, somehow, but that coffee needs to kick in"
