well im going to the library i need to reserch" nyx said

"isn't that obvious, they were just attacked by a darkness dragon that looked like it came from hell those demon's , they did come from hell." Magnus said loudly in the distance.

" he does have a point"

“The question is why did they come.”

"who knows?" he shruged

"Why did what come?" Paige said, unsure of whether he was talking about the dragon or Haskel's demons.

“The dragon.”

"i do not know, most likely it smelled alot of magicin one place"

"Oh right, you two missed Hadviris's explanation. The dragon had been following him because he disobeyed this king that's returned from the dead. A sorcerer from the village Stormhaven, the same one that is now asking for us, sent him here. I believe this sorcerer knew we would end up fighting the dragon. It feels kind of like a test now that I think about it." Paige explained.

"i hate tests" nyx said "they are always so easy"

"They'll be fine." Haskel said, watching as the villagers came back in hordes, cheering.
"What's this!?" Haskel asked silencing the villagers temporarily.
"We were attacked by a type Dragon that only is seen every fifty years or so! The tourism is going to make us rich." A villager said.
""We can fashion the claws, horns and fangs into weapons to do with what we want, the scales into jewelry and armor, we can use the skin for banners, and if we rub the meat with a salve, we can serve it to those seeking to increase their magic potential." Another added.
"And who told you all this?" Haskel questioned. Immediately the sea of villagers parted, and a tall, withered man at the end of his life walked out, a long beard like salt and pepper wagged as he walked. Everythingfrom the rune-enhanced cudgel he used to walk, to his purple robes, told Haskel he was the village sorcerer, Tankirin, who mastered earth, lightning, light, dark and mental magics.
"I did." The man called.
(In this world every village has a head sorcerer who's mastered at least five magics. Also, I already explained that the Dragon came here because of the tyrant-King, who cursed him because he's partially mad in the head via resurrection.)

"You would have liked this test. It was very, very fun. It even grew two heads when it was decapitated and we literally had to cut it in ribbons. Most exciting day i've had in a very long ti…" Paige's words were cut by the sudden cheering of the villagers.

"meh"

"Hey don't kill my happiness," Paige said while rolling her eyes.
Her focus turned to the old man surrounded by villagers. "The same dragon came 50 years ago?" She asked the sorcerer with a raised eye brow.

"No, but they're that rare." The man said.
"The part about the meat wouldn't happen to be true would it?" Haskel asked.
"Yes, but you have to rub it in a salve first, or it'll kill you if you eat it." The man said.
Haskel approached a piece of the Dragon, tore some meat from it, and ate it on the spot. He was a native of Hell, and the poisons and diseases there made Earthly ones, even those of a magical variety, look desirable. Although it was quite disgusting. Like the equivalent of eating a farmer's shoe doused in urine on a hot day and left to fester.

"actully there are other ways to eat it" Nyx spoke up

"There is one other way, but hiking up a mountain and washing it in hotspring water is not too desirable." The bearded man said.

(The description … so hard not to picture it. AGHHHH)

"This isn't the same mountain that we will have to go across on the way to Stormhaven is it?" Paige said.

"there are quite alot of herbs that are easy to find and make it taste better"he said

"A Guardian of the Forset, eh?" Tankirin said. He watched as Haskel forced down the meat.
"You are not from our world, are you?" He asked.
"Quite the opposite."
"You are very lucky, eating the meat raw, while infinitely more disgusting, gifts more magical enhancements."
(Yes it is the mountain, but it bears the same result as using the salve that the villagers will make.)

"Dammit, any chance I could swap out my angel side for a demon one now? Would be more beneficial from what I can see." Paige said with a sigh.

nyx pulled out some Marigold tore a chunk of meat of the dragon putthem to gethr and ate it "see other ways"

"These are the herbs and ingredients we will be using to make the salve." The man said to Nyx. He turned to the villagers. "Find from my garden snapdragon, mint, basil, dreamroot, and aconite." He said. "And gather salt."
They scattered.
"With these herbs not only will it be purified, but the taste will be normalized, and it provides longevity benefits."

he coughs"or you culd do it the easy lunarein way!"

"So basically all these herbs do is purify the meat? I have a sword that is crafted using angelic properties for purification," Paige said looking down at the engraved ancient languages flowing down the length of her long sword, "Any way that can be used?"

"And what if the Lunarein way kills anyone that isn't Lunarien?" Paige asks Nyx.
